We thought Topco's Cyber Sex Buddy would be the messiah of masturbators. It's competitively priced. It's well manufactured. We threw ours out after three uses.

The Cyber Sex Buddy comes beautifully packaged with a bottle of 'Climax' personal lubricant and 'Cyberskin Renew' powder. The Buddy itself is about 7 inches long, and can accomodate a penis of that length. It's about 3 inches high and 3 inches wide and tapers down toward the back end.

The Buddy is unlike other masturbators we've tested in that its Cyberskin rubber compound changes density within the toy. Specifically, several hard ridges run through the toy about a third of the way in. One ridge is supposed to simulate a female pelvic bone. It, indeed, does feel like a bone when you reach in and feel it with your finger. However, the 'bone' had no effect on how the toy felt during use. No matter which way we rotated the toy, it felt exactly the same, which led us to believe that the 'bone' did absolutely nothing to enhance the experience.

Sadly, the same cannot be said for the other ridges lining the opening. Topco's box copy advertises "Dual Density: Cyberskin's soft supple lips envelope the shaft, while tight inner walls hug the penis." Unfortunately, the tight inner walls are TOO tight. It's true, and our testers don't exactly have enormous shlongs. The inner walls are reinforced with extremely hard extrusions of Cyberskin and are simply too tight for comfort. After about 2 minutes of use your dick is in serious pain.

If that problem weren't enough, the Buddy's "vaginal" opening is very strange. It begins at the "labia" like any other, with a 3/8-inch hole leading into a 3/8-inch tunnel. Like others, the rubber compound stretches easily (except as noted above). The first 4" of vaginal tunnel are completely smooth. About halfway into the toy the tunnel suddenly widens into something that's about 3/4-inch in diameter with 3 rows of bumps running down the length of the toy to the end, exactly like Hustler's Pocket Pal.

The problem with this design brings to light the problem with Cyberskin itself. The smooth first half of the tunnel is simply TOO smooth. You can't feel anything. There's almost no friction at all. Inside a woman, the vaginal skin is so soft that it pulls with each thrust, causing friction. Cyberskin does not do this.

So this is the feeling you get when you use this toy: you thrust in and feel nothing at first, then the head of your penis suddenly encounters bumps, then as you pull back the head of your dick gets snagged on the ridge where the tunnel abruptly goes from 3/4-inch to 3/8-inch in diameter, and then you feel nothing again. Not a pleasant experience.

As for the accouterments that come with the Buddy, Cyberskin Renew Powder is nothing more than talcum powder and the Climax personal lubricant is too gloopy and thick to be used effectively with the toy.

Overall Impression

What a disappointment and waste. We suggest you stick with Devon's Private Pleasures or Hustler's Pocket Pal. They cost less and are 100 times better.

Reputable net vendors who sell the Pocket Pal are listed on the right of your screen, along with their respective prices.
