| To preserve, protect, and defend our, Free and Righteous Society we have duly sought to give and provide us with, "Government" lead by Officials, we've elected for that purpose... |
| If we elect/appoint; politicians, bureacrats, and officials, to defend, protect -and- perserve our Rights & Freedom, under a unilateral mandate of, " Equality "...Why is it necessary for us to form Unions, and Groups to preserver, defend and protect us from them ? |
| Our Society has failed... to recognize that, whether a person holds office as a; Politician, Agent Bureaucrat, Peace Officer, social worker or any other, we hold to serve -and- protect us, from ourselves and others, they, like we, all put our pants on, one leg at a time. That is to say, that we all hold the same characteristics and frailties, as anyone else, of our species. To denounce this, in any way, and/or by any premise, is to deny our equal rights -and- freedoms, under the law. However, the practical application of "equality", is far from the theoretical mandates, as dictated within our Legislation. It seems that many of our species quest for power and position, in that it provides privilege of being," above the law ". To that end, there seems to be varieties, of law ; one for the rich and one for the poor, for the influencial and for those who aren't, for the select few and for the rest of us. With so many variations, in the application of the law, it has become necessary, for us to form; Unions, Groups, etc., to strengthen our powerbase, in society. This is called, "Politics", and can be quite precarious. |
| THE COMMITTEE (People-4-People) was founded, for just such a noble purpose. While other Groups serve specific "Rights and Freedoms", under the law, ours' was formed as a, " Buffer ", in relation with various; Government Bureaucracies. We advocate, on behalf of individuals & help promote positive relations. Our formal premise may be, One can solicit more with honey, than with vinegar, but our mandate is to overcome, inadaquacies & inconsistencies, in Government Bureaucracy. We invite positive influence, where communications may have broken down. But, we also promote, advocate, solicit - and - lobby, for positive changes, to our system of government. At times, we have, picketed and petitioned, for redress, of grievences, caused to individuals and citizenry, by Government intervention, but we don't threaten, intimidate, coerce, invite violence, chaos or mayhem. We advocate and promote better understanding, of our Government, and enhancements to it. |
| As a Free and Democratic Society... we're told about, all manner, of power -and- authority we are supposed to have through; our vote, our ability to contact our representatives, and the many Laws Legislations, Rules and Regulations, that supposedly governs us all. With all of this, why does it seem so blatantly necessary, to form; unions, groups, collectives and organizations, to promote, and advocate that which our elected and appointed leaders, are supposed to provide. There is contradiction, in terms when it comes to being properly -and- adequately represented. In a society, based upon the premise of equality blind to matters of; race, creed, color, religion, gender, age, etc., there seems just one omission, "status". It would seem that our Leaders carefully excluded one's, " position ", in the community. This has lead to some, being thought of, as more equal, more worthy and more respected, than others. |
