Primarily an acoustic album, we used various vocal combinations, interesting arrangements and creative instruments to accompany the familiar guitar and piano. Though definitely not an exhaustive list of songs that are used in our worship, or an exclusive list of songs that minister to the students, these are the twelve songs we have chosen and some comments by the team on them.
We belong to God, the lover of our souls. He is ours and we are His; what a powerful truth. "Eternally Yours" speaks of a devotion to the Lord, and communicates the message that He knows us completely, and yet He completely loves us. This is a song of thanksgiving to the Lord for that truth. --George
Almost every day I see someone weariung a t-shirt that says, "No Fear." For Christians, this brings to mind the verse in 2 Timothy which says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." The Holy Spirit gives us the power not to fear things of this world but the Bible does command us to fear God and promises in Psalms that "those who fear Him will lack nothing." -- Byron
The old hymns have such a depth and quality which ought to be invaluable attributes to young people today. Rich in doctrine and devotion, this song expresses our heart's cry to love the Savior with deeper committment and understanding of His character. -- Lydia
Being in TeenPact is about joining our lone voice with the thousands of other voices who are proclaiming the eternal glory and purposes of God to the world. Singing of God's attributes affords us an eternal perspective of our work, as well as a glimpse of what heaven will be like. -- Lydia
This song is a prayer that comes from the heart of a Christian with whom all believers can identify. He has experienced the wonderful saving grace of Jesus and is compelled to serve Him because of his healing. Sure, there are times when his flesh is tired of submitting to the Spirit of God. However, it is at those moments he must resist the devil and the desires of his flesh, and cry out to God asking Him to light his heart with a fire that burns with passion for Him, as only He can. -- George
This song has been my all-time favorite for over three years. God has used it many times to comfort me and bring me back to Himself during very personal and intimate times with Him. I am honored to be able to share it with you on this project. -- Lauren
This song is so powerful because it reminds us that, as Christians, our entire purpose in life is to praise the Lord. It is a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the Lord for the sacrifices He has made for us. As followers of Christ, you and I are called to live our lives for Jesus and serve him in every aspect of our lives. When we obey God we will be a threat to the devil who is going to do everything within his power to destroy our effectiveness for Christ. This life is truly a battle between the spiritual forces of good and evil. Do not fear this battle because we are empowered to be strong and courageous because we know that the Lord our God is with us. -- Byron
"Breathe" is a beautiful declaration of utter dependance on the Savior. Its simple melody and powerful lyrics make it a moving praise song. As young people, our lives can get so complicated. It's important to step back, take a deep breath, and remember that nothing is more important than my relationship with the Lord. -- Shep
Psalm 33:12 proclaims, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." It is certainly true that though a country may be rich in resources, if God is not exalted by the people, then there is no true prosperity. Undoubtedly, America has become such a nation.She has become poor and empty, depsite great outward wealth and success. This song's simple chorus calls for believers to pray for this nation. In so doing, we can be confident of this: that God will hear us. -- George
Many people say, "I will start serving God tomorrow," but this song reminds us that the time to serve God is NOW! We need to be busy serving every day because no one knows the day or the hour that God will call His children home.-- Byron
This song is such a beautiful, eloquent anthem to our Lamb, Jesus Christ. When I sing or hear it, my heart soars with thankfullness and praise for what He has done for us. Worthy is the Lamb! -- Lauren
