These pictures document my progress after one day (taken August 10, 2002). My biggest problem thus far has been lack of space and maneuvering room.
Here are a couple of update photos taken August 13, 2002 (okay, I do realize that by dating these I'll be making my slow progress rather obvious).
I removed the head on August 17, 2002 (these pictures were taken the following day). Again, progress has been somewhat slow.
August 22 - I haven't worked much on the car lately. I did manage to pull all the pistons, and have made arrangements to take the head down to a local shop to be re-built. Now I have to pull the crankshaft, and take it to have it turned as well. There was fairly significant wear and scoring to the bearings and crankshaft, but the bearings in place are standard sized, so I should be able to have the crankshaft turned down to an available undersized bearing size.
July 2003 - Well... Progress has been slow, but the engine has been re-built (by McLeod's British Cars in Maumelle, Arkansas), and I've installed it back in the car. I still have some minor things to take care of before everything is ready to go.
September 23, 2003 - I actually started and ran the engine today. It sounded great! I should have it all put together and back on the road within a week. Unfortunately, I slacked off somewhat on documenting my progress (or lack thereof).October 2003 - The car is indeed back on the road and running great!!!
