My 1972 TR6 I bought this jasmine 1972 TR6 while I was in college in the summer of 1986. I drove it until the winter of 1988, and then parked it. I had it running again briefly in the spring of 1989, then it sat until I sold it in the spring of 1993 in non-running condition (I was unable to get it to fire). I hadn't kept any records on the car after selling it, and often wondered what had become of it. By chance, I discovered the car on eBay in July of 2004. I immediately recognized it as my old car due to the fact the trailing edge of the boot lid was painted black. I had done that as a quick and dirty way to conceal some rust repair in that area (much easier than trying to match the jasmine). The car was apparently located less than two hours from where I currently live. Obviously I had an interest in reacquiring this car; however, my attempts to arrange for an inspection of the car were unsuccessful.
