ANNON T'YR

The sky was dark. Strangly dark for the middle of the day. Smoke had spread accross it's face. Flags, standing tall, came down from the sky to bodies of fallen warriors, skeletons of several races in a burned, scorched battle field. Sounds of horse hoves are heard in the distance. They grow louder. 5 horses, with 5 riders. The two lead horses had what looked like a princess on a brown horse, a gold dragon-like armored man, rideing a white horse. The next one had a silver human armores knight rideing on the back of a grey and black horse. The last two had a cloaked mage riding a brown and white horse, along side an Elven warrior, with white hair, riding a grey horse. A dragon flies above them.

"How long now, Trabin?" speaks the princess.

"Here. We need a rest anyway." The dragon armor responds.

They all stop near the bodies. The dragon lands off to the side. As they dismount, Trabin gets the feelign of a trap, as do the Mage and Elf. They set up camp anyway. Trabin removes his helm, and it flows into his hand. His facial features are of a 25 year old human, arburn hair, and a small beard. He motions for the Mage, as he walks into the field of the bodies, leaving the princess with the silver knight. This knight now removes his helm. Shows a man, not much older than Trabin, but with long black hair, scratchy facial hair, and a set of fangs protrude from his mouth. She looks up to him. Her hair is blond, her green eyes stand out from her face, and her dress is pink and Emerald.

"So, Caladon. Trabin never told me his best friend was a Vampire." She says to him.

Caladon sits accross from her. the look on his face is a pained look. He starts a fire on the ground between them.

"We were friends before i was turned, Empress." Caladon firmly replies.

"Call me Gabriel. I hate all those formal names, don't you?"

"I'm not and Emporer."

"Well then. Hm... Were you.. Jelous of .. Trabin?" She says, slinking over to him.

"M'Lady, No offense, but i have no feelings for you."

"I see... If you did.. I could have married-" She starts, but is interupted by Trabin.

"Starchild, Rangle the horses. Sha'oul, keep checking those bodies. Caladon, i need to talk t' ya." He says to the rest.

Starchild, with help of the dragon, rangle and gate the horses. Sha'oul continues to pick through the bodies for valuables. Trabin and Caladon leaves Gabriel to the fire, and goes off to chat.

"Why did you marry her?" Caladon asks, with a face of disgust.

"I really have no idea."

"What's she doing with us, anyway?"

"She has information about the Blue Saphire."

"Yeah, but do you have any reason to believe her?"

"No reason not to. We're married, were supposed to trust each other."

"I hope your right."

Trabin starts to walk off, when Sho'aul calls for him.

"Uhm.. Trabin... Look up." She says.

Everyone looks up. As they do, dozens of dragon-like looking things with fat bellies, flying toward them. They look angry.

"Dravos." Trabin says, then yells out, "PREPAIR FOR BATTLE! DRAVOS ATTACK!!"

Caladon puts on his helm, and Trabin's helm flows from his neck over his head. Both warriors draw blades. Sho'aul runs behind the two, then starts to chant. The dragon stands behind them. Trabin's left hand becomes a shield, and Caladon redies his own from his back.

The Dravos start their attack, launching balls of Lightning and Flame. Trabin blocks the balls launched his way. Caladon is knocked out when he tries the same.

"Help him out Sho'aul! I'm going up!" Trabin yells out.

The dragon flies past Trabin, and Trabin jumps onto it's back. They fly up to the Dravos' level. In the air, The Dragon launches balls of fire at them, knocking Dravos from the sky, while trabin slashes through them.

"We're doing great, Flarith!" Trabin says to his flying friend.

The dragon roars in reply between fire ball launches and dodgeing lightning-flame balls. Eventually, there are only 3 left, but Flarith is hit in the wing, and soars down. Before Flarith starts to fall, Trabin jumps off, into a Dravos, slashing through it's head, kicking off toward another one, cutting it's head off, then falling onto the last one, stabbing through it's side, pulling out, and drops. The last Dravos blows up.

Caladon wakes, and looks around.

"Where's Trabin?" Caladon asks to Gabriel.

Trabin drops infront of his friends, and walks over to Caladon.

"You okay?" Trabin asks.

"Yeah."

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

"Good. I'm not doing that alone again, got that?" Trabin says with a smile.

The Warriors packs up the camp, and continue on their sojurn. Trabin rides ahead, and the rest follow. They enter a forest, and the sky grows dark. Wolves are heard in the background. It's getting really creepy, especially Gabriel. All but Trabin stop when they reach a clearing. Trabin turns, and finds them resting, already dismounted.

"Fine, we rest here." Trabin says.

After they set up camp, a fire burning, and the horses behind a fence, Trabin and Gabriel got to their tents and fall asleep. Caladon sits at the fire, and Sho'aul joins him by the fire.

"It's been a while, shadow stalker." She says to him.

"I'm not evil." She says.

"Of corse. I love that about you."

"Hmm..." he scoffs, " so what brings you on this quest?"

"Search for the phoenix."

"Excuse me?"

"Phoenix. It's attracted to the Ruby key. One of the 10 Crystals."

"I know that, but why are you chaising it?"

"power."

"You have enough."

"Not enough control. I can learn that from the Phoenix."

"Oh, well, why didn't you say so."

"I think it's stupid, to go around the world, searching for magic for personal gain. Pathetic if you ask me."

"That's why Trabin is going."

"What? Why?"

"Some one died in his past, so he's looking for the crystals to bring that friend back."

"That's not pathetic though, more romantic if anything."

"You would say that."

"Humph! Anyways, what about you, Shadow Stalker?"

"Trabin is m'best friend. I follow. Also, there's a chance I may be cured from this curse. By the way, m'name is CALADON, not SHADOW STALKER!!!"

Caladon walks off toward the sleeping dragon. Starchild takes his place.

"That didn't go well, now did it?" he says.

"Not one bit, Starchild." Sho'aul says.

"Yeah. Well, what 'bout you? You speak as if this is more of an adv1enture, not a quest."

"It is."

"No reason to stay or leave, just drawn to the voyage."

"Yup. Lets get some sleep. Big journey tommorow, the way our 'fearless leader' is going about."

"Perhaps your right... See you tommorow."

The two leave to their tents, and are soon asleep. Caladon comes out from the shadows, and sits infront of the fire, waiting for morning to come. The only sounds are the holws from the wolves, moving brush, and the snores of the 5 others. Caladon sits there...

Alone with the fire....
