Annon T'yr: #2

Trabin is running through the woods. Faster, his armor clinks agenst itself. Twigs and sticks break under his weight. The sound of heavy breathing is heard beneath his helm.

The trees split, and a load roar is heard. A giant green serpent speeds toward Trabin. He jumps over it. The wurm turns slowly toward the warrior. Trabin, still running, charges at the serpent.

It strikes at him. Before the beast strikes, Trabin picks up up a large wooden pole, ramming it in it's mouth. As it tries to break the log, Trabin wips around onto it's back, and draws his sword. He slams it into what he thinks is it's neck, slamming the serpent also into the ground, pinning it. It writhes in pain and agony.

He removes the blade, jumps off and slams the neck of a wolfien standing near into a tree. The large snake slams into a grouping of trees in the background. Three slash mark scars are across the right eye on the wolfiens face. His fur is somewhat matted and ripped, and his clothes show that he is some kind of mercenary.

"How long have you been there, dog?" Trabin says through gritten teeth.

"Long enough, Trabin." the wolfien speaks out.

How do you know my name?" Trabin looks at him, curiously, throwing off his helm.

The wolfien just smiles, gives a small chuckle. Trabin pulls him back and slams him again. The wolfien starts to laugh.

"I ASKED YOU 'HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?!?!?!'" Trabin yells at him.

"You were in the dream, warrior of virtue. M'name is Draco Gryph." The wolfien manages to get out.

"Odd name... for a dog."

"I'm odd for a wolfien."

"So i see..." He slams him again, " Enough! Tell me about the dream, now!"

"Put me down, and i'll talk."

Trabin drops Draco. You can tell that Trabin is not in a good mood, even after the usual battle. An imprint in the tree is shown after the furred one drops. Draco rubs the back of his head.

Draco wipes the dirt and wood from his back. He then sighs and looks up to Trabin. Escape? Not an option. He walks over to the angry dracon.

"Close your eyes."

"What?"

"You wanted to see the dream. Close your eyes."

"Yeah, i did.. but my eyes?"

"It's easier."

"Fine, do it."

Trabin sighs and closses his eyes. Draco pulls out a glowing orange crystal from his side pouch. It glows brighter around Trabin. A ray of orange light connects with Trabin's head.

Trabin's head starts to tingle, and his mind spins. Colors start to form in the clouds of his mind. Colors grow to shapes. Then Images. It was as if a camera was being focused on something.

It was a waterfall with an opening behind it. His mind moved toward the waterfall. Before he hit it, his mind went black. Sounds were heard in the background. His mind was makeing music out of horrors.

Far off in the distance, he could see dark red eyes. A face took shape around them. A laugh was heard behind the face. It was like a mask. The face looked like an animal, none ever seen on Annon T'yr before. It turns around and Gabriel is shone. Gabriel turns a few seconds after she appears, and a man in a shadowed armor and helm jumps back into the darkness. Flarith flies out of the shadows and soars around him.

"You must defeat him."

A voice from no where spoke out.

"What?" Trabin replies.

"You must defeat him."

"Who are you talking about?"

"Korath... You must defeat him."

"I dont understand."

"Defeat him..."

The voice repeats the last message over and over, echoing inside Trabin's mind. The mist and colors start to fade.

"Wait! Tell me more!" he yells out.

The mist dissipates.

"No!" Trabin screams.

Trabin breaks out of the trance. Draco is no where to be seen. The crystal rests on a rock across from him. He looks at it curiosly.

"Dream Crystal..." he says.

Trabin takes the crystal and walks off toward camp. Before he enters the clearing, he starts to think. What did it mean? Was it real? If it was a dream, was it from the crystal? What about Draco? It was too much to think about. He shook his head out of it, and walks forward. He was greeted by a rather annoyed Gabriel.

"Where were you?" She says.

"Out dealing with something. Why?"

"I was looking for you."

"You shouldn't worry so much. I CAN take care for m'self." mistrust sounds in his voice. She had never done this before.

"You should say something before you go."

Trabin looks at her like she's crazy.

"What is it with this sudden intrest in what I do?" Now he's getting a bit worried. He thinks to himself. 'The dream! No, she would never turn from us, would she? She is human.'

He turns from her and starts to walk away.

"I do care about you Trabin. We all do. I'm just worried.

He turns to face her.

"I'll be here to protect you. All you need to worry 'bout is Korath. I have to go and think."

He walks off, leaveing her standing there. Tears in her eyes, she drops to her knees. She bows her head in her hands and weeps. Starchild walks up. He puts a hand on her shoulder. He looks to the path Trabin had left, and sighs.

"I know where he's gone. He'll be back, I know of it." Starchild tries to reassure her.

"I'm scared to death, Starchild."

"I know... I know."

He rubs her back and walks over to the fare. A large peice of meat is rosting over ti. Sho'aul and Caladon are talking over some dinks and cards. Flarith sits up and redies to fight. He senses something aproaching.

Starchild now senses it. Gabriel is now in her tent, sleeping away her sorrow. Caladon stands and draws his blade. Flarith and starchild look over to the right.

"Shadow walkers..." Caladon growls out.

"But it's still daylight!" Sho'aul yells at him.

"Matters not. Were gonna fight, and that's all that matters right now." Starchild pipes in.

"Where is Trabin now?" Flarith murmers.

Trabin, now wandering the woods, finds a village filled with wolfiens. He notices Draco walking around the middle of the 'street.' Trabin walks toward him, and notices that all the wolfiens are glareing at him. He starts to get paranoid.

"You shouldn't be here, Trabin." Draco stands behind him.

Trabin jumps.

"Wha~! Where did you come from?"

"No where..."

"oh."

"You sound enthusiastic."

"Not really... Why am i not to be here?"

"I stole that crystal to give to you... Crime."

"If it's that bad, I'll give it back."

"Naw, i'll find a way out."

"If you say so."

"Trial's 'bout to start, so I gotta go."

"Anything I can do?"

"Nope"

"okay, good luck."

"Thanks... I'll need it."

Draco walks into a rather large looking hut. Trabin turns to leave. All of a sudden, the side of the building explodes...
