| The Tracer won the "E" award as the most efficient ship in the squadron in 1963 and 1964. Engineering Officer LTJG Benson and his crew always had the ship steaming. LTJG Cal Lain and his gang of ET's had the radar working 24/7. We saw other ships left at the pier as we rolled out to sea. The Tracer never missed a commitment during that period. |
