| After 30 days at sea sitting on our patrol station , the return to San Francisco through the Golden Gate bridge was inspirational. You would wake up on that morning and look out and see land for the first time in almost a month. Eventually, the Golden Gate bridge would appear, then we would pass by much of the City by the Bay and eventually our home port, Treasure Island would appear. We would circle Treasure Island and come under the Bay Bridge. Our loved ones would be there to greet us as the tug boats pushed the mighty Tracer to the pier. Another chance to spend a few days in one of the greatest cities in the world, San Francisco.. |
