Acanthoscurria insubtilis
Bolivian White Knee
These are rare little spiders in the pet trade at the moment, but I expect they will get to be a popular pet.

These are small and very sweet natured. They possess urticating hairs, but so far I have never seen them utilized.

The colours are very pretty, the knees have pink stripes and the over all colour in females and juveniles is a red with a pink hue.

The males are a very dark, almost black when mature, and the knee markings are almost invisible.
So this species has sexually diamorphic differences, where the male is a different colour to the female, other species that exhibit this are
Poecilotheria and Aphonopelma, of which most if not all in the family show this trait.

Size: 4 inches

Heat: 75 to 80 degrees

Humidity: 60 to 70 percent

Habitat: Terrestrial (Paraguay/Bolivia)

These sweet little spiders will make good first time pets as they are active but not defensive. They do like to dig, but will adopt a substitute burrow.

Further information will be posted here as I get it.
