I Could Get Used to You Music and lyrics by Tracey Leanne Lutz
Background I wrote this song near the beginning of my relationship with Alan. We were leaving the pub one night, and he walked me to my car, it was pouring rain out. He kissed me and then held me and I remember him saying "I could get used to you". So I wrote a song about that sentence. Dedication Alan
Lyrics Verse 1: At night, I am peaceful. At night I’m alive. The night is so peaceful, The night is alive. And you look at me with those eyes. And you look through my disguise. And I think I could get used to you. Verse 2: I love the way you touch me The way you make me laugh. I love that if I only want half a piece of cake, I know you’ll eat the other half. And I love the way you kiss My neck and shoulders and arms. And I think I could get used to you. I could get used to you. Verse 3: At night I wanna be with you In the day I wanna be with you. In the afternoon I want I wanna be with you Right now I wish I were with you. And you’d look at me with my hair tied in a bun And you’d kiss my lips and say “baby you’re the one” And I’d say I could get used to you. And you’d say you could get used to me too. Alternate verse: And you look into my soul. And I tremble beyond my control. And your arms wrap ‘round my waist. I think I’ve found my place. And I think I could get used to you. And I know I could get used to you And your face, and your arms wrapped ‘round my waist, And your love, your embrace and your sweet sexy face. I want I wanna get used to you. I want I want I wanna get used to you. Repeat last line twice.
