| "Am still alive!" - part 2 |
| ...Arrived home to our housemate fighting cockroaches in our kitchen with a spray can, so all in all, not your AVERAGE Christmas Day activities!?! A cool time had by all though! In other news... ...we've had Robbie Williams here, with Duran Duran - they played 2 concerts in a stadium right by our house - very convenient - could lay in our room listening to Robbie!! Cool! ...my job is going well - still doing the charity work thing - have been promoted to team leader, so have my own team and get financial bonuses for how well they do - think some of them need some pointers though - most backpackers (and alot of Australians for that matter!) don't know what the Prime Minister looks like, but we did all find it quite funny the other day when one of my team tried to pitch a short, balding bloke in a suit - nothing wrong with that I hear you cry - but when the guy looked at him strangely and kept walking, and my guy thought "how rude, he won't help homeless kids?!" a member of the public came over and gently let him know that that was actually John Howard, the Aussie Prime Minister!? Slightly amusing for the rest of us!!! ...we've been looking for another place to live, our house is OK, but we really wanna live by the beach, but Sydney's pretty full right now, until after the New Year, when alot of the backpackers leave the city to travel, so hoping something will become available soon! ...oh a new shop has just opened here!! It's called "British Lolly" and imports loads of English sweets, chocs and crisps!! We were so excited when we went there - may sound a bit strange to you guys but for anyone that's been away from England for a while, you'll know just how cool this place is!! So we got some pickled onion monster munch, quavers, english cadbury's choc, and sweets!! wow :o) Well, that's about enough for you guys for now!! Hope to hear from y'all soon. Take care, miss y'all.
