My mother-in-law gave us a pack of these along with diaper pins and rubber pants when my son was born. I just smiled, thanked her and put them in the attic bucket. She carefully explained that these were in case we didn't have money for disposable. As if! What she didn't tell us were practical uses for these items. Cloth diapers are great burp rags. They are highly absorbent, cheap (it's okay if they get lost), washable (can bleach them too) and you get many in a single pack.
Cloth diapers are also great for diaper rash. For bad rashes, some people recommend baby running around naked. This is great for a while, but accidents do happen. Cotton diapers let baby's bottom breath and helps clear up diaper rash! Do yourself a favour, pick up a pack of these. Use some for burp rags and save a few for rashes. |
