Review by Van-L list member Cuttsy:
This is a 2 CD-R boot also from very good audience recordings from the beginning of '97 at Reading and Torquay. Sound from Reading is very good but on the Torquay tracks the base is a little soft, the treble a little dull and there is just a little "tape hiss". Nonetheless not at all a bad sound. Audience noise is mostly not a problem. Audience reaction at Torquay is mostly subdued.

Van and band perform well. "Haunts of Ancient Peace" is nice but otherwise not exceptional performances or set lists when compared to other recent shows.

Altogether if you want a '97 boot and have a choice between this and An Esoteric Evening With Van Morrison then although this is not a bad pair of CD's IMHO the latter wins hands down.
