"Veedon Fleece took its name from the unattainable cloth of gold which is its mark"

The above quote comes from a UK carpet vendor of the same name, and is, I suspect, a bit unreliable in its reference (it is more likely that they are thinking of the Golden Fleece of "Jason and the Argonauts" fame, and I have never seen any definitive information which states that Van's "Veedon Fleece" and the Golden Fleece are one and the same. If you've seen something that links the two, please let me know...)
