This wonderful and rarely seen concert comes from a bootleg DVD, titled "The Beast In Me - Live in New York 1994". This set was shot and broadcast for VH1.  There's no channel logo stamp here or any other identifiers. Also, the end credits have been pasted over so many thanks to the bootleggers for that   ;-)    The whole thing was shot in B&W and it gives a special and personal insight into the early days of Cash's American Recordings era.  The video quality is very good, probably a very early generation copy. Unfortunately, the DVD also contained also some officially released bonus tracks from the 50's and 60's so those were removed from this version.

From the book 'I've Been Everywhere Man' (a book that chronicles every concert and appearance by Cash):

June: "A show at the Manhattan Center is filmed by VH1 for broadcast later in the year.
September 3: "The Manhattan Concert from June is shown on VH1.

This bootleg is titled "The Beast in Me" but it is not the widely circulated audio bootleg also entitled "The Beast in Me" - that is from 8 Dec 1994, performed at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX.
