Eddie Cochran & Gene Vincent

Although these guys appear as seperate artists on my trade list, I joined them for this set list because I find that when someone wants one, they ususually don't realized that they really want the other one as well   ;-)

Disc 1 is a compilation of various Eddie Cochran BBC shows, Saturday Club, BBC, ABC-TV Granada Studios, Manchester and London, UK from Jan - Feb, 1960. Starting with the track (19) Mr Fiddle, the cd then seems to contain some songs from various OOP albums. But what a style change. Eddie goes from rocker (Elvis style) to country hillbilly music hick. It's quite enjoyable to hear all the different sides of Eddie - I had no idea!

Disc 2 start off with Gene Vincent on a couple of songs from the Alan Freed show but segues to France -1965 on Track 2, Hey Mama. The sound gets worse and is probably an SB recording but the mix is off, especially the vocals - a bit muddied.  But then on Track 3, the source switches to some studio recordings and it's excellent.  Starting with the guitar instrumentals, I'm suspicious on whether this is Gene Vincent as it's got a decidedly Dick Dale ambiance.
