for the tracks 1, 5 & 6 Recorded at The Hit Factory and track 7 at TTG
Studios."
Basically, this is yet another disc of jam sessions, a lot of these tracks
are available on other releases, either the same track or different takes
of the same song. But there are a few that are new to me. World Traveller,
It's Too Bad, and You Make Me Feel I haven't heard anywhere before and are
pretty cool. Would have been interesting to see them in their final forms.
Message From Nine To The Universe is the same as the one on the CD of the
same title but here is in it's complete form, including some vocals from Devon
Wilson, Jimi's girlfriend at the time. World Traveller, a pretty funky
tune, features a strong organ melody and judging from the style, I'm guessing
Steve Winwood. It's Too Bad is blues all the way, and kinda reminds
me of slow blues version of 1983...A Mermaid I Should Turn To Be from Electric
Ladyland in feeling. All in all, a pretty decent package, offering a little
something for both new and old collectors.
