I always thought that the album Roots to Branches was one of Tull's
best but it just wasn't commercial for a lot of folks and consequently, it
didn't sell more copies and we don't see a lot of these songs performed anymore.
The influence of Tull's world travels really show up here with lots of non-western
musics jabbing through the rock and roll. Lots of different timbres abound.
And the band sounds like a real band, not just a couple of guys backing Ian
and Martin.
Ian Anderson - acoustic guitar, flute, soprano sax, vocals
Martin Barre - electric guitar,
Jonathan Noyce - bass and voice
Andy Giddings - various keyboards
Doane Perry - drums, percussion
