This pre-FM source has no commercials or voice-overs and is superior to all other versions of this show. No EQ or other processing was used on this source. It's a great early Rush show: Raw, live and loud. This is the pre-FM broadcast version so there are no voice-overs or introductions and there has been no clean up for the radio presentation. Still, this is a stereo recording, so sometimes you can even hear the guitars fade from one channel to the other. This is a classic show from a classic band with some classic recording equipment --- in short, a Rush Classic.

It contains great versions of these early songs when Rush burst onto the scene. Rutsy the original drummer had to leave the band (siezures as I recall) so Peart had been with the band only 6 months when this show was made. Geddy introduces Fly By Night by saying in will be on their next album and that it was a song they just wrote a couple weeks ago. Wow. I just think about how old that song is today and here Geddy is saying they just wrote the song. The setlist even includes a cover song, Bad Boy, which Geddy introduces as, "a song that the Beatles did a few years ago, a song written by Mr. Larry Williams, this is called Bad Boy".
