10. Promos
Excerpts from the sessions for All Alone, with alternate takes, incomplete
takes, false starts, studio chatter, etc., plus a lengthy track of Sinatra
recording radio station promotional clips. There's a bit of tape hiss, otherwise
the sound quality is excellent. As usual, this is recommended more for hardcore
aficionados than the more casual listener.
Trivia note: The ethereal female backing vocal heard on "The Song Is Ended"
and "All Alone" comes from Loulie Jean Norman, whose most widely heard performance
would probably be the theme music for the original Star Trek television series.
