Notes: This collection is the bomb, simply put. It was lovingly prepared
by the same kind soulsters at Big Fro who were responsible for the Curtis
Mayfield 1972 Rarities collection, and the Otis Redding Soupcon of Soul collection
that I've seeded at STG. This was like the Rasputin of torrents for awhile
last fall, it just couldn't die. I think I reseeded it at STG about 3 times
myself, people just kept asking. 2 or 3 months and thousands of downloads
later, it finally faded away. It's continued to be requested, so here it
is, the Return of Funkasaurus! These are the same flac files that I archived
last fall, so if anybody has the same files lying around, feel free to help
seed.
It's a fascinating document of the group at the height of their powers, and
every performance is a gem. Cover art is included. The sound quality is varied,
but predominantly very good. For the perfectionists, be warned, these recordings
do have some limitations, and the occasional minor analog artifact.
