After Mountain’s comeback album and tour in 1985, West apparently didn’t have firm plans to reassemble Mountain nor did he seem to have an album contract. So he and Jack Bruce decided to record an album together which became West's 1988 Theme. This album is very rare and if you can find a copy of the LP, buy it. I've got an MP3, LP rip version but it just ain't the same as vinyl. The album also featured drummer Joe Franco, a fellow New Yorker, who had drummed with the Good Rats and Twisted Sister. For some reason, Corky Laing was not available (or willing) to join the effort which deprived us of a West, Bruce & Laing reunion.

The WBF band decided to play what seems to be their only show at Poughkeepsie’s Chance Club. Jack Bruce once stated that he even flew into the US from Europe just for this one show! This is an incomplte show. Several tracks - Crossroads, Red House, Sunshine of Your Love - were normally played in concert during this "tour" but they didn't get captured here. The complete show is supposedly in circulation but I've never seen it in any trade circles.

This show is considered to be a highlight in Leslie's '80’s career.
