(Ridiculous) DJ banter cut from track 01 except for the DJ intro to the band. None of the other tracks were edited in any way.

I'm not sure how long Wolfmother has been around, toiling in obscurity down under in Australia, but they gained some prominence in 2004 with a regional release of "Wolfmother". It catapulted this power trio from a Sydney band to a national name.  But then they came to the US (Los Angeles) in 2005 and released a 2nd album also titled "Wolfmother" which then brought them US fans, global attention, and critical review. The album is one of the best studio albums for capturing raw energy that one typically only finds on a live stage.

So what is their music - what do they sound like? I tend to think of it as Ozzie Osborne/Black Sabbath but with bigger riffs and chords, and less gothic. (OK, you want a label? How about power psychedelic rock?).
