Hello Little Boy
Encore: Georgia On My Mind
Encore: Hole In The Wall*
It really was Gary’s Brooker's (Procul Harum founder) night on 3 May 2001.
It was the fourth time The Rhythm Kings played for an – again – sold out
Paradiso crowd and Gary took more lead vocals* than ever. Although it's not
included here, he also got to demo a new composition - Keep Your Shirt
On - which he penned (very Coasters-like). Lipstick, Powder
And Paint is a 1955 composition by Jesse Stone and a true Big Joe
Turner classic and Gary delivers the goods. Wonderful!. If you 'follow' the
Rhythm Kings you know that members sort of come and go. Shortly after this
show, Gary left the tour only to return in mid July in Denmark.
The band in the regular line-up enjoyed themselves immensely and so did the
audience. Some other obvious members that night were Georgie Fame (vocals,
keyboards), Bill Wyman (bass), Martin Taylor (guitar), Albert Lee (guitar),
Graham Broad (drums), Keeley Coburn (vocals), Janice Hoyt (vocals),
Beverly Skeete (vocals), Frank Mead (horns). Nick Payn (horns & harp).
