Another automotive project was this 1973 MG-B. Why is it all the cars I bring home are on the back of a tow dolly?? Anyway, this was an even more ambitious project than the beetle. The MGB is a uni-body car and this one suffered from some major rust in the "dogleg" areas behind the doors, and into the floors and frame rails. Both sides were rewelded and rebuilt with new, quality parts. Both floors were replaced and the body taken back to bare metal.

I'm pretty proud of the "B" it was the first car I painted myself. What can I say, the paint came out a little flat but its better than a lot of cars I see! Again every piece of rubber in the car is new. I made the infamous Lucas  electrical system work like it was supposed to.

The interior and top were put in new and I got a few months worth of driving out of this one before I sold it. I miss the 'B' even more that the VW. The VW wasn't as finicky but the MG was more of a guy's car. I got lots of waves and thumbs up.
