MATERIALS:
Small amounts of brown, yellow, orange, red & gold
K hook & D/E hook for arms
Sewing needle
2 googly eyes (option) or white and black felts
Glue gun
BODY (MAKE 2)
Rnd 1: With brown, ch3 (counts as first dc), 12 dc in 2nd ch from hook, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. (13 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in each dc around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc) 12 times, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.
Rnd 4: Ch 3 (2 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 2 dc) 12 times, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.
Rnd 5: Ch 3 (2 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 3 dc) 12 times, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.
Rnd 6: Ch 3, (2 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 4 dc) 12 times, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3, fasten off.
Hold sides wrong sides together, matching sts, working through both thicknesses, sc in each st around, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
FEATHER
Attach orange to any st with a sl st, in the front loop only, work sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, all in the same st, join yellow with a sl st and work a sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, in next st, repeat with the colors shown fasten off.
BEAK
With orange, ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, sl st in last ch, fasten off. Sew to Rnd 1 as shown in photo.
WATTLE
With red, ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, sl st in last ch, fasten off. Sew to Rnd 1 as shown in photo.
LEGS
Attach orange with sl st in 6th free sc on bottom, ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook, (ch3, sc) 3 times in next ch, sl st in rem ch, sl st in same sc, fasten off. Skip next 3 sc, attach orange in next free sc on bottom, rep for 2nd leg.
ARMS (E hook) (make 2)
Ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, (ch3, sc) 3 times in next ch, sl st in rem ch, sl st in same sc, fasten off.
With tapestry needle, sew the arms to the body. From felt, cut round for eyes of turkey and glue to face.
