Jan 4th 2003 ~ This Section Is Dedicated to N'Namdi Keir Hamilton 26 yrs. old.
During the Awards Ceremony, N'Namdi excused himself to the restroom. April became concerned for him after waiting for his return. She went to check on him and found him having difficulty breathing and trying to use his inhaler. He then colapsed and fell to the ground gasping for air as his windpipe was closing, he then was going into full arrest. Passerby's were quick to tend to him calling 911 and attempting CPR. As the EMT's arrived taking over, not able to get any vitals working on him all the way to the nearest Emergency Room. The Limo driver from the Hotel took me to the hospital to be with April. We managed to contact N'Namdi's parents and they arrived quickly. Shortly after arrival N'Namdi was pronounced deceased. The reason for this was he was allergic to Tree Nuts! He always felt he was since he was young. But was never formally diagnosed and prepared with an allergy kit (epinephrine pen or shot) just in case. He didn't know there were nuts finely minced on one of the desserts. Causing him to go into anaphylactic shock. |
