Sparkling Shiraz
A uniquely Australian wine style that has returned to fashion since it's heyday in the 1960's and 1970's.
Made from small parcels of carefully aged Shiraz wine the sparkle is induced by the 'Methode Champenois' technique.
The bouquet hints Satsuma plum, and ripe morello cherry are evident. The mouth feel is extremely pleasant due to the creamy bead.
A yeasty aroma can be detected from the use of the methode champenois.
On the palate there is a distinct plum flavour and a cherry after taste following through. the wine has a dry finish rather than sweet overtones sometimes associated with this style.
A sparkling wine for festive occasions and celebrations, a 'fell good' wine excellent with duck and turkey dishes, or just for its' self!!
