1999 Shiraz Grenache Cabernet
A blend of Shiraz (65%) Grenache (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) grapes this wine is an outstanding example of the boutique premium quality for which Trafford Hill is becoming well known.
This vintage is more elegant than our previous ones and has bouquets of Mulberry fruit together with subtle Grenache perfumes.
Gentle oak treatment shows through more on both aroma and palate, than previous years, with peppery-spice flavours and a fine acid / fruit combination rounding off the wine.
The wine drinks well now and has a good medium cellaring potential.
