Parsons Ghost Liqueur Port

This port is firm and spirity, shows burnt toast on the nose and caramel flavours on the palate.

It is blended from material which is no less than 10 years old and the fortification spirit is of the superior type. Before bottling it is given six months extra maturation is brandy washed kegs, it is terrific on a winters evening by the fire or as a finisher with good coffee and chocolates after dinner.

The name honours the personwho surveyed and developed the original terraced vineyards of Trafford Hill some twenty odd years ago. Unfortunately Mr Parsons died prematurely never seeing or tasting the fruits of his labour.

For a long time rumour had it that his troubled 'ghost' dwelt in the cellars because his dream of fine wine production was unfulfilled
