| Spells for Weight Loss |
| The spells on this page are those aimed at weight loss. Shedding a few, or more, pounds is no easy task and even the strongest willed of us need a little help now and then. The obvious advantage of a weight loss spell is a little help via energy going your way, but this is not The Craft, Bewitched, Charmed, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, or anything like that; this is real life and if you truely want to lose weight then you will have to do more than wiggle your nose so to speak. If you so chose to preform a spell to help you lose weight don't expect that spell to do anything if you do nothing else. You'll have to watch what you eat and exercise also for it to do anything, and you will have to diet and exercise to keep that weight off. Just because you preform a spell or ritual for a certain purpose doesn't mean that it will last forever or that you won't have to worry about helping it work. Another tip I have is not to "diet"; don't deprive yourself of food or foods you really like or have a craving for. If you are really craving a brownie, have one; but only have one and make sure it's not huge. Crash dieting not only kills brain cells but it makes you more likely to gain the weight back and then some, which is probably the last thing you want to do. Please go about your weight loss plan safely - eating disorders are no walk in the park either and it takes more than a spell to reverse the effects of anorexia or bulimia. Get active! Exercise doesn't have to be boring, get a bike, get some friends together and learn a new sport, or try to find the meditative properties of running. Join a dance class or see if you can't find some friends to go walking with regularly. Either way, while spells definatly may help you you'll have to do something else... and you will have to love yourself for the spell to work. Try not to make your expectations too high. Ten pounds in a few months is a good goal, and your goal after that for about six months should be merely to keep that weight off; many people set their dieting goals to high and are discouraged and give up. |
| GENERAL WEIGHT LOSS SPELL: Near or during a full moon, stand underneath a tree where the moonbeams will not touch you and repeat these words "In silent shadows energy abounds assist me now to shed these pounds." Then, step into the moonlight and say: "A new path I follow I open the door I maintain perfect weight forevermore!" MOON ENERGY WEIGHT LOSS During a waning mood meditate on losing weight, imagine the pounds literally sliding off your body. Now using a pink candle (for self love) and a brown or black candle into which you have engraved the number of pounds you wish to lose, annoint them with the oil of your choice and light. State your intent as you light and mediatate on losing that weight some more, visualse your weight decreasing as the moon wanes. Do this every waning moon until you have reached your goal. Incense may be used if you so desire. GENERAL WEIGHT LOSS SPELL 2: Preform this during a waning moon at sunset. For this spell you will need rose petals, lavender oil, small garnets, turquoise, or carnelian stones, a yellow candle with a holder, a picture of yourself healthy, and a small lid or plastic bag that seals. First, charge the yellow candle with your desired goal of weight loss (how much you want to lose, or what you'd like to accoplish with it, like fit into your jeans from last year for example). Visualise yourself looking healthy and physically fit, passing on second helpings of food, and eatting small portions as you light the yellow candle. Then, charge the oil, stones, and rose petals. Sprinkle the petals around the candle wihle still visualising your goal. Now, place the charged garnet stones and a few drops of oil into the bag or jar; still visulasie. After that, pick up the petals and place them into the bag or jar also. Seal the bag and say: "By this bag/jar of powdered oil, petals and stones, it will bring me courage and help me meet my goal not to eat or snack as much and become healthier." As you do so, visualise yourself beoming healthier and weighing less. Carry the bag or jar with you and sniff the charged items before eatting. Next, rub the charged carnelian or turquoise on the picture of yourself, then rub it onto your body while visulaising yourself losing weight and say: "In no way will this spell cause me to suffer any adverse effects. So mote it be!" Carry the stone with you, whenever you have the urge to overeat or snack rub the stone. Hang the picture in your kitchen where you can see it. To finish the spell, let the candle burn for an hour and then snuff it out and put it away. Whenever you need moral support burn the candle. |
| Other Weight Loss Tips (Non-Magickal) |
| - Find some friends to exercise with and lose weight with. Create your own support group, if you exercise with friends you have more fun and you may even begin to look forward to it. - Cook instead of going out, and try not to eat as much fast food. First, if you make your own food you've burned calories making it and you control what goes in it. Second, you can make only what you want to eat and that way will avoid over eatting simply because it's "on your plate." Also, homemade things are more filling than fast food and so you will be able to eat less to feel full. - Drink more water. This helps with weight loss and bloating. Soda and other carbonated or sugary drinks are empty calories so avoid them, or cut down. - Know that is is perfectly okay if you don't clean your plate. This probably goes against everything your mother taught you but do it. - Eat more vegetables, and try to be healthy. Dairy products are very fattening, so going vegan a few days a week would take a nice cut of fat out of your diet. - Stay away from eating disordered behaviours such as fasting, chew-and-spit, the Sacred Heart Diet, 2-4-6 diets, and the like: they actually slow down the metabolism and as well as making you unhealthy will cause huge amounts of weight gain. - Don't eat low cal or fat free versions of anything: these foods cause you to eat more becuase your body knows something is missing and you get hungry faster. It's better to eat good quality and "real" foods in smaller portions. - Don't skip meals. If you do feel the need to skip a meal or never eat breakfast, get a slim-fast or something to sip in the morning that way you wake up your metabolism as well as your mind. - Stay away from store-bought power bars and a lot of pre-packaged foods. Make all your own food from scratch. You will be eatting better as well as won't have so many on hand snacks and therefore eat less. Plus, so many of those foods are full of needless calories. - Take vitamins - lots of vitamins (like Vitamin C combined with a high fat diet) actually are needed for your body to burn fat and use it effiencently - Don't take diet pills; when you stop taking them your metabolism will be slower and they can lead to thyroid problems as well as many other health problems. - Get at least six hours of sleep a night. The less you sleep the more you will eat to keep your body going. |
