Lillith Invocation

Invocation of Lillith

This is a rite of dark sexuality. Lilith is the representation of the primal female sexuality; a dark animal sexuality. She is unabashedly dominant and has a great amount of sexual power. It is not reccomended that this rite be preformed by those with little ceremonial magick experince or those who have psychological problems with sexuality. If the mixing of blood or sexual practices are preformed, please use all necessary precautions. As with the Dark Goddess Invocation, you may want to appoint a "guardian" to "observe" the rite from their own circle of protection, not participating in case things go awry. This guaridian should only get involved in the cases of serious bodily harm about to ensue and otherwise allow the rite to go on uninterupted. This is not a rite for the timid and those who fear possible psychologcal side effects should abstain. I do not, and the authours do not, take any responsiblity for what may result from the preformance of this rite.

Materials:
Black and/or purple candles
Musk incense
A silver chalice
A scourging whip (cat-o-nine-tails type)
Black cape, preferabley satin (for Main Operator)
Red wine
A sterile scalpel or sharp knife (to draw blood)
Perhaps some music befinting a dark sexual rite

Preperation:
Because Lilith is the primal feminine aspect of dark sexuality, the Main Operator of this rite should be female for maximum results. In the case of a male MO he should be able to cantact his primal feminine nature strongly and easily in order to succeed in invoking Lilith. The particiapnts of the rite may be either male or female or a mixture of both. The applicacations of this rite will vary.

The Rite:
Large black candles should be arranged in a circle around the temple space and lit. Also, great amount of incense should too be lit and the room thick with smoke.
To begin banish by any preocedure desired. The MO should be naked beneath the black robe, takes the position in the middle of the circle. She hold the scourge in her right hand and the other participants sit in a circle around the MO. The statement of intent is then declared by the MO and echoed by all participants: "It is our Will to invoke the egregore of Lilith, so that by her spirit we experince the power of Sex and Death and obtain her Word of Power!"
The MO will then recite the following to invoke the persona of Lilith into her body and mind:
"I am the daughter of Fortitiude and rasvished every hour from my youth. For behold, I am Understanding, and science dwelleth in me; and the heavens opress me. They covet and desire me with infinite appetite; for none that rea earthly have embraced me, for I am shadowed with the Circle of the Stairs, and coverd with the morning clouds. My feet are swifter than the winds, and my hands are sweeter than the morning dew. My garmets are from the beginning, and my dwelling place is in myself. The Lion knoweth not where I walk, neither do the beasts of the field undersand me. I am deflowered, yet a virgin; I sanctify and am not sanctified. Happy is he that embraceth me: for in the night I am sweet, and the day full of pleasure. My company is a harmony of many symbols, and my lisp sweeter than health itself. I am a harlot for such as ravish me, and a virgin with such as know me not. Purge your streets, O ye sons of men, and wash your houses clean; make yourselves holy, and put on righteousness. Cast out your old strumpets, and burn their clothes and then I will bring forth children unto you and they shall be the Sons of Comfort in the Age that is to come."

Then the participants begin chanting the mantra of Lilith; as they chant the MO must sink into a deep gnostic trance and invoke the spirit of Lilith into her body. "Flesh she will eat, blood she will drink!" (chant)

As the chant continuse, one partidipant (Secondary Operator) recites the following:
"Dark is she, but brilliant! Black are her wings, black on black! Her lips are red as rose, kissing all of the Universe! She is Lilith, who leadeth forth the hordes of the abyss, and leadeth man to ruin! She is the irresistible fulfiller of all lust, seer of desire. First of all women was she - Lilith, not Eve was the first! Her hand brings forth the reveloution of the Will and true freedom of the mind! She is Ki-Si-Kil-Lil-La-Ke, Queen of the Magick Circle! Look on her in lust and despair!"

The participants begin to chant "Lilith! Lilith! Lilith!" repeatedly as teh MO invokes the Lilithian egregore. One by one the pass around the scalpel and cut their left tumb and anoint their foreheads with blood. They then pass around the chalice (which is filled with red wine) and touch it to thier foreheads ones by one. After all have done so, it is taken to the MO who drains it in a single draught. This should be the climax of the invocation.
If the invocation is successful, all participants should feel the emotions of simultaneous fear, lust, and the urge to submit. Forced over-breating or another variation of Death Posture should be used to deepen each participants level of gnosis until they become close to fainting. As they are overcome by emotions, they should fall to the ground and prostrate themselves before Lilith.

What goes on now is not specified, it is left up to the will of egregore. She may choose to scourge the praticipants, ock them, entice them, or seduce them. She may forced them to commit various unspeakable acts of lust upon her or each other. All participants must submit to her will, do not seek the wrath of Lilith! Eventually the energy of the group will wane and at this poin the SO (may need to be prompted by the guardian) will rise and face the MO and recite the following in a commanding tone:
"Black Moon, Lilith, sister darkest,
Whose hands from the hellish more,
At my weakest, at my strongest,
Molding me as clay from fire.
Black Moon, Lilith, Mare of Night,
You cast your litter to the ground
Speak the Name and take to flight
Utter now the secret sound!"

the MO will call out a name, from deep within the Lilith-trance, as the legendary Lility called out the unutterable name of God to rise into the heaves. this word is now known in advance and afterward may be used as a Word of Power by particiapnts. AT this point the spirit of Lillith will feel the MO and she will fall to teh ground. The gaurdian or SO shoul then draw an uptright pentragram over the MO, a full facial lustraiton of cold water is administed and she is called by her ordinary name until she responds. The temple is then banished and closed.

***** The invocation is the text of a message deliever by an unidentified spirit to Sir Edward Kelly in 1592 during a scrying ritual. It was Dr. John Dee (the Royal Astrologer to Queen Elizabeth) and Sir Kelly invented the Enochian system of magick. After his encounter with this eintity, Kelly abandonded his work with magick.
