Another method is rub sore muscles with a mixture of one quart alcohol and two teaspoons castor oil. Shake well with each use. You can cure sore muscles by rubbing them with olive oil in which ginger root has been chopped; this also works for bad bruises. Holding a good swallow of whiskey in the mouth will take the pain from a toothache. Acne Wash three times daily with a tincture of chamomile and dandelion. You may also take 1 teaspoon each borage flower tips, chicory, ash leaves, wild pansy, sage, and mugwort and boil 45 minutes in a quart of water. Repeat this treatment once a day for three weeks, take one week off, and repeat again for the next two months. Asthma Asthma is caused by the system being filled with waste and mucus. The sympotms are difficult breathing, wheezing, and fearing he/she may choke. Treatment varies, but giving an emetic is sometimes a reccommended treatement for an attack, however I don't see this being very benefical. Drinking a warm glass of water can help in less sever attacks. Cold morning baths and showers can also be a good things for asthmatic persons. Outdoor exercise and deep breathing is also very good. A quick and easy method for doing this is to make a paste of baking soad or salt and apply to the sting. Also you could take slice an onion bulb or clover of garlic and place it on the wound. If you use this method you may tape it down to make it stay put. Blood Pressure For high blood pressure eat lots of garlic and cloves. Exercise more and take time for yourself and relax. For low blood pressure drink a tonic of good strong coffee and half a teaspoon each of cinnamon and ginger every morning. Once boils have been drawn out put this poultice on them to keep them from becoming infected: Beat one forth cup stick pine tree sap into one fourth cup melted lard. Burns A fresh slice of potato or aloe gel applied directly to the burn, or a tea leaf poultice will also ease the sorness. At the time of the burn immersion of your burn under cool (not cold) running water will help. Sunburn may be treated with a poultice of oatmeal soaked in milk along with aloe. Childbirth There is an old fold remedy of placing a knife under the bed to slice the discomfort in two. Another more practical method of reducing labour pains is raspberry leaf tea, this can aid a short labour too and lively babies. Other things that may help are love making, masterbation, visualisations, education, meditation, belly dancing, walking, sitting/standing birthing positions, and pernial massage during birth. To prevent rips in the dleicate tisusses of prenium rub it to keep the blood flowing and stretchy; when a bit goes hard and white it is about to rip and should be massaged vigoursly. Should the mother hemmorhage after birth then a swift bite of the placenta may be helpful as will shepherd's purse. After birth the mother should rest and relax, the baby may also wanted to nurse. Colic in Infants Colic can be caused by a number of things like teething, faulty feeding, hot weather, and unhygenic surroundings. Symptoms of colic are incessant vomiting, frequent thin, water, and musty smelling stools, sunken eyes, hollow cheeks, and pinched features. These sympoms develop rapidly and can become dangerous in six to twelve hours. Dehydration is a very dangerous things in small children. This includes foods that have lost their vitality, diets that consist mainly of meat, and eatting food that is too concentrated. Another cause is irregular habits when eliminating wastes, lack of exercise, and a sedentary lifestyle. In children causes range from indigestion, teething, rickets, fever, worms, congestion of the brain, and whooping cough. Also too much of some foods like candy, cakes, and heave indigestable foods could be the cause. Under nourised nervous children are most likely to be afflicted with convulsions. Convulsions come on suddenly, and usually without warning. In many cases froath at the mouth is seen, the extremities become cold, and the child becomes unconious. When a chlid has a convulsion (s)he straightens out and becomes stiff; breathing appears to have stopped; eyes are usually fixed and starting upwards, and head is drawn back. Many attacks in succession are dangerous and the child could never awaken, however death from fits is rare. After a fit the first thing that must be done it to loosen the clothing and give the child plenty of fresh air. Give the child a hot bath and some say to produce vomiting by placing the finger down the throat. Use the antispamodic tincture (8 drops in a tablespponful of water for chlidren) and check for worms. Other signs of worms are gritting of the teeth, rubbing of the nose, and being disturbed at night. Giving the treatment for worms can do no harm if you are mistaken. Cramps To ease a cramp combine equal portions of chamomile, clover, mint, wintergreen, and valerian for a tea. You can also make this mixture into a warm compress and applied directly onto the area that works.
