Aftershave - Mix 2 tablespoons warm apple cider vinegar and 2 cups of witch hazel tincture.  Then add 1 ounce sage, peppermint, and wintergreen, next mix the solution with around 3 ounces of rubbing alcohol.  Let herbs steep in a sunny window for around 2 weeks, strain, and use as desired.

Deodorants -
If you have sensitive skin try baking soda and corn starch as a powder deodorant.  For scent you may add these (I would recomend perhaps one or two) in powdered form:  lemon peel, orange peel, sage, lavender, orris root, marigold, and chamomile.  If you would like a spray deodorant, add 5 drops of any essential oil to half a cup of spring water and put the solution in a pump spray container.  Shake well before using.  Scents that seem to last the longest lemon, basil, sage, and lavender.

Eye Care -
Take 2 ounces of rose water and add it directly to 8 ounces of distilled or spring water.  Bottle this and apply when desired to refresh your eyes.  This will not spoil.

Hair:
Conditioning Oil -
1 ounce of oil of rosemary and add 10 drops of lavender oil to it.  If you are blonde you may also add lemon oil, for a redhead add saffron, and brunettes should add vanilla.  Dab a bit of this mixture onto your brush daily and bush around 75 to 100 times.

Dandruff Tincture -
take half cup each of pansy, violet, red clover, rosemary, marshmallow root, nettle, marigold, and peppermint.  Add the fresh or dried herbs to 4 cups boiling water and let steep.  Best when this is left a few days until the petals are translucent and the water smells heavily of your herbs.  Then, strain, and place in an air-tight bottle.  apply about 2 cups per washing.  For excessively oily hair, 2 capfuls of lemon juice can be added.
Another rinse can be made by using the same method with rosemary, lavender, lemon grass, comfrey, and witch hazel.  In both rinses to bring out highlights add chamomile, for oily hair add witch hazel, for dark hair add sage and for dry hair add marigold.

Lip Care -
For chapped lips make an ointments of red clovers.  Boil 1 cup of flowers in 3 cups of water over low heat for about 45 minutes.  Then, strain off the liquid and repeat the process twice.  Next allow the jucie to cook down to a syrup and keep in a container and apply to lips as needed.  Sage and violet petals are also effective.
You can make a lip balm with 1 cup almond oil, 1 ounce of beeswax, 2 teaspoons of honey, and 1 teaspoon of rose or vanilla extract for flavour.  Over low heat, mix all ingredients well.  Then store in an air-tight container for use.

Facial Mask -
Apply an even coat of honey.  Soak the honey off with warm water.  As a remedy for Athlete's Foot mix honey with your favourite lotion and apply.  The honey and lotion also conditions the skin.

Cleansing Vinegars -
For dry skin, make a tincture of warm vinegar with orange leaf, mint, clover, and parsley.
For oily skin use lemon, rose, sage, and lavender.
To get rid of wrinkles add lemon blam and fennel to your vinegar as this will help tighten the skin.

Skin Creams - Basically you take 1 part beeswax, 3 parts almond oil, and usually half portion of whatever herbs are needed for the skin.  Warm your oil with the herbs in it until the oil smells heavily of the herbs.  If you want you can leave the herbs in the mixture.  Stir in the wax until it's melted.  Turn off your heat and keep beating until a creamy texture is made.  Store this cream in an air-tight container, it has a very long shelf life.
If you are making a cream for dry skin, add powdered chamomile petals and marshmallow root in the beginning.  For pimples add marigolds, this also helps tone your skin.  Sage in your cream will help ease sunburns and put moisture back into the skin.  Lemon, lime, rosemary, and parsely are said to help blothces and freckles.

Teeth - The most common homemade toothpaste is baking soda.  Also, you can take 3 to 4 eucalyptus leaves and 2 teaspoons lavender steeped in a cup of water, add 1 tablespoon salt, 1 tablespoon baking soda, and 2 drops of anise oil or licorice.  Once you have added all the ingredients add baking soda until the substance becomes a paste.  Keep in an air-tight container and use twice a day.  I keep mine in a pretty glass bottle with a cork.
