Slavic Folk Remedies
**I have not used all of these remedies and take no responsibilty for what may happen when they are used.  These are however traditional Salvic rememdies from many sources**
Colds: Add fresh lemon juice, honey, and a shot of jezynowka into a cup of hot tea.  Sip the tea.  Jezynowka is a Polish cherry brandy and it's recomended that one should have no more than two cups of this.

Congestion: Mash several cloves of garlic and put them into a pot of boiling water.  Stand over the pot and breathe through your nose for five minutes.

Coughs: Add honey to a grated radish and eat this along with any of the juices of the radish.  Another rememdy is to have a glass of hot beer before bed.

Fevers: Before going to bed, stand naked, wearing only a woolen hat, with your feet up to the ankles in hot water and drink a large mug of tea with jam, honey, and at least 100g of vodka.  (100g is about 2 and a half shots.)  OR rub vodka on you feet and chest, put some mustard powder in a pair of woolen socks and wear them.  Then drink a mixture of baking soda, milk, honey, and vodka and go to sleep.

Hemmorhoids: In a large covered clay pot put four large onions and two liters of milk and slowly heat in oven.  Then remove the pot from the oven, and replace the cover with a toilet seat cover or similar object.  Now sit on it and steam yourself for awhile.  When you are finished rub the afflicted area with vaseline.

Hiccups: Rub a mixture of mustard and vinegar on your tounge and hold for two minutes.  After the two minutes, rinse.

Sore Throat: Make a juice of water and a mashed onion.  Then, gargle with this juice.  Another mixture is one cup oil, the juice of one lemon, and one cup vodka.  With this mixture, gargle, and then drink.

Ulcer: Mix a shot of vodka with two raw eggs and drink this twenty minutes before breakfast.

Upset Stomach: To two shots of vodka add salt and pepper and drink.
