Spells to Keep Love and Protect Against Infidelity

These spells are generally manipulative in nature. They deal with keeping your lover, and keeping him/her faithful. Most of these spells cannot be done with the intended's permission and this makes them manipulative. I can not think of a way to make them nonmanipulative, but I suppose if you're going to use them you probably didn't have a probelm with this or have enough reason to not worry about it.

Appalachian Fidelity Spells:
I. To keep your mate coming home to you every night place a fresh sprig of rosemary under his/her dinner plate. If he/she notices the spell will not work; so be sure they don't!
II. Pick a handful of rue at midnight and place it under your matress to keep your husband/wife from sleeping in another bed.
III. If you are concered your wife (or husband I suppose) is interested in another man, put some dried mugwort under her side of the mattress. If mugwort can't be found, ashes from a fire she has tended may be substituted for it.
IV. This spell ensures fidelity and is not gender specific. Take a length of ivy and wrap one end of it around your mate's wrist. Wrap the other end around your own wrist or the bedpost. This will bind their fidelity to you. This spell will only work however, if it is removed before dawn and without the other person's knowledge.

Love's Wishing Well:
     This spell is used to cause a distant lover to think of you. It is best preformed on a Wednesday or Monday on a full or waxing moon. First, gather the dried herbs rue, rosemary, and tansy (just one of or any combination of). Then find a running stream and cast the herbs into the stream. As you watch them be carried away visualise the herbs carrying your messes of love to your lover.

Stray No More:
    This is a spell that uses poppets to ensure fidelity. This spell utilises poppets to draw your lover back to you after they have strayed. You will need to make two poppets; one to represent you and the other to represent your cheating mate. Once they are created, bind them together with blue thread. (Blue because blue is the colour of fidelity.) Once you have finished this, and remember to charge the herbs for love with your desire, place the poppets bound together under your mattress. Your mate will be faithful as long as they do not discover the poppets.

Burying Infidelity:
   This is another Appalachian folk magick spell which uses poppets to protect against infidelity. This spell is meant to be prepformed AFTER an infidelity has been commited. Like the above spell, you will need to create two poppets. After you have made an apporiate poppet, bind them together with a blue thread. Once you have done this take the poppets to a cemetary at midnight and bury them on their side just inside the front gates. Over the spot you have buried them, trace a circle with your forefinger and as you do this visualise a ring of eternity. Your love will remain loyal as long as the buried dolls remain undisturbed.

Forget Me Knots:
    This spell uses cord or rope magick. You will need a bit of thin rope or cord for this spell of any colour. The colour of the cord should reflect the type of thoughts you would like your lover to think about you. For passionate thoughts red is a good colour, for romantic thoughts pink is a good choice as is lavender, and for thoughts of fidelity blue is an excellent choice. During the full moon, at night, take the cord outside or to a window and allow the light of the moon to wash over the cord. It doesn't matter what end of the cord you start at, but begin tying knots into the cord. As you tie each knot, charge them with the imagery of the thoughts you want the other person to have of you when you release the knots at a later date. As you tie the knots you may want to chant or speak aloud to help you. The number of knots is up to you, personally I prefer to keep it around seven or nine but no more than ten is recommended. This is because if you fill the cord with too many thoughts it may have a weakening affect on your spellwork. This all depends on you and your skill level so trust your instinct. During the day keep the cord covered and out of light. Whenever you want your lover to think of you, take out the cord and untie a knot to release the energy. As you untie it, see the energy going to your mate.

Invoking the Green-Eyed Monster:
    For some people, invoking jealousy is considered a constructive pastime in matters of love. While I may not agree with this frame of mind, I suppose this is where this spell belongs. Some people believe the jealousy can strengthen love, in my experince however it has only weakened it. Whatever your stance, this spell is for invoking jealousy in another. However, this spell does NOT gaurentee how your victim will act. Any actions taken as a result of this jealousy may or may not be what you expected or would have liked; as this spell is written there is no control over their actions. This spell it taken from the Mexican folk magick tradition. You will need spoiled milk mainly for this spell, but also a cup for the milk, green and yellow food colouring or a few drops of racid oil. Along with these items you will need a photo of the person you wish to make jealous, a personal item of theirs, or know of a way in which they walk each day. Some optional items are dark yellow and pale green candles, but they are not necessary. If you use the candles, place the items for the spell you will be using in between them and light the candles now. Once you have lit them visualise them causing the burn of jealousy to rise in your intended victim. Now add the racid oil or food colouring into the spoiled milk and invest the milk with feelings of jealousy. Once you are satisfied with your work, pour the milk onto the photo of your victim. If you were using an item of theirs pour it on there or on the path in which they walk. As you do this take your cauldron of jealousy to transfer into the person you inteded. Visulise them seething with jealousy over you. This spell could take weeks before you see the results of your work.

Low-Down and Dirty:
     This spell is to protect your mate from infidelity while they are away from home overnight. Place a small amount of dirt from the land you live on inside their shoes. Don't let them know about this, otherwise it won't work.

Yarrow Forever:
     According to Scottish folklore, if yarrow is beneath the mattress of a couple while they make love they will become soulmates and their love will last eternally. Also, it's believed that bathing together in water which yarrow is scattered in will bind your souls together and enable you to recognise each other in another life.
