Postpartum Bleeding
Afterbirth scares many women.  Sometimes it is hard to tell what is to much.  No more than two cups should pour out.  To see just how much this is I'd suggest pouring two cups of jucie, or water with food colouring on a pile of sheets or the floor.  Two cups is a bit much.  You can expect free bleeding at the time the placenta comes out.
There are other signs of hemorraging aside from the blood loss.  They are feeling chilly or shock, pale skin, weakness, excessive thirst, and heavy breathing.  If you expiernce any of these symptoms lie down, put your feet up, and next you can try any of a number of things.  Some people say to take a swift bite of the placenta.  Another remedy is to massage your uterus, knead your belly until the uterus maintains its shape.  You can also nurse your baby which will help your uterus contract or drink a strong tea of Angelica, Bayberry Bark, and Shepard's Purse.  Other herbal things that will help are a Sheperd's Purse tincture 1 tsp. under the tounge and repeated every mintue as needed, 10 drops of a Mugwort tincutre will prevent hemmorage, and a Yarrow tea may be helpful.  A visualiseation of your uterus grown smaller and the bleeding stopping can also be helpful.  A tea made of Bayberry Bard and Cayenne can be helpful if drank right before birth and if you are terriably concered quickly drink a 1C of warm water with 1tsp. of cayenne pepper added to it.  Misteltoe tea can also be helpful, but be very careful as Misteltoe is a very poisionous herb.
Of course, if you are hemmoraging you may want to call a doctor immediately.  Any medical advise taken from this site, or anywhere on the web should be throughly looked into.  If you do take any remedies from this site I am not held respoinsiable for what happens to you, so do your homework.
