The Minor Arcana
The Suit of Wands
Ace of Wands:  Initaition of plans, enterprises, adventures, the beginning of a fortunate project.  Great initiative, enterprises, and the promise of growth.

Two of Wands:  Maturity, strength, planning.  This is a time to map out your plans turning to daily processes or details.

Three of Wands:  Management, acumen, practical knowledge.  Now is the time to sow the seeds for future harvests.  A progressive peroid, but not much time to enjoy your success.

Four of Wands:  Completion, satisfaction of a job well done.  Celebration, beauty, peace, and increase.  A strong foundation has been built and you can now enjoy the fruits of your labour.

Five of Wands:  Struggle, competition.  Indicates unavoidable conflict, tests that must be passed.  If frustrated, try to be creative and express your ideas as clearly as possiable.  Failing this, an impasse is inevitable.

Six of Wands:  Victory, payoff after conflict.  The skillful overcoming of opposition through diplomacy instead of force.  Win gracefully as your desires are realised.  Also indicative of good news.

Seven of Wands:  Determination and courage.  Feeling under seige and holding up admiriably.  You are challanged to stand by your values and beliefes, do not be afraid to defend that which needs to be defended.

Eight of Wands:  Busy, swift activity, speed.  Do it now, action is demanded.  Indicative of rapid advancement and sudden progress.  The ending of delays and opposition, and a speeding up of all matters.  A matter may be settled swiftly and take you by suprise.

Nine of Wands:  Defense, discipline, and preperation.  Expect and be ready for difficulties.  You may have to bide your time, but remain faithful to your purpose.

Page of Wands:  Ambition, optimism, sexual magnatism, abandon, implussivness, or appetite.  Intuitave leaps and interpretations.  A quality of adaption and youthful ambition.

Knight of Wands:  Alertness, intensity, change, swiftness, and intuitivness.  Creative transformation, making things happen.  A quality of agressive change and swift movement.

Queen of Wands:  Warmth, mature sexual/personal magnetism, fiery protectivness, drive, and sensation.  The passionate manifestation of desires.  A quality of creative and enduring intensity.

King of Wands:  Protectiveness, self-assertion, courage, and virility.  Taking wise action where pride and power are involved.  A quality if intense, protective strenght.



The Suit of Cups
Ace of Cups:  Love, joy, abundance.  An overflowing of happiness, pleasure, and beauty.  A deep understanding and happiness is reached.

Two of Cups:  Romance, relation, union.  The resolving of differences, a mutual affinty, possiably an exchange of pleasures.  Potential for a loving union and room for passions to grow.

Three of Cups:  Solace, grace, celebration.  A happy conclusion to personal affairs or a time of healing.  A staisfactory result and a time of peace.

Four of Cups:  Aversion, indecsion, weariness.  Though you have choices, none of them appeal.  This is a time to re-evaluate your options and withdrawl from distractions.

Five of Cups:  Loss, depression, regret, disappointment.  Worry and a sense of loss replace harmony.  Be careful that you are acknowledging all the possiablities, even those difficult to see.

Six of Cups:  Nostalgia, memories, childhood.  Growth based on the strenght of what you have learned, happiness based on past efforts.  Try to find peace, not discontent.

Seven of Cups:  Wishful thinking, illusion.  Your energies are unfocused and your sentimental appraisal of a situation may be confusing issues.  Try to be realistic in your view of things, this may not be the best time to make a decision.

Eight of Cups:  Retreat, sacrifice, letting go.  You are spending to much time concentrating on the concerns of others.  Indicative of a turning-away of previous plans or a discontinuance of effort in order to prove something more relavent.

Nine of Cups:  Complete success, pleasure, fulfillment, attainment.  Emotional stablitily, mental, and physical well being.  The development of security pleasure and abundance brings.

Ten of Cups:  Happiness.  A goal attained through lasting personal pleasure and success, a peaceful and secure enviroment, domestic happiness, and enhanced realationships.  Personal matters are settled without recrimination.

Page of Cups:  Insight, poetic inspiration, source of hidden knowledge.  The art of getting peacfully at the source.  A quality of youthful openness underlying a calm surface.

Knight of Cups:  Openness, desire, imaginative daydreaming, longing.  The art of seduction, attraction, invitation, and seduction.  A quality of agressive pursuit of one's desires.

Queen of Cups:  Affection, nurturing, serenity, consolation, quiet loving, female partener/lover/mother figure.  The art of bestowing or attaining emotional security.  A deep feeling underlying a calm surface.

King of Cups:  Pleasure, gentleness, artistic, a fatherly figure, understanding.  The art of ruling one's emotions by understanding, not repression.  A quality of irresistable force underlying a calm surface.



The Suit of Swords:
Ace of Swords:  The removal of obsticals and the promise of victory.  You will succeed despite the odds.  Make aggressive, long-term plans and initate them now, however keep in mind that it may be necessary to "cut away dead wood."

Two of Swords:  A compromise, balanced forces.  Offsetting powers or factors, a possiable settlement.  Compromise may gain what cannot be gained by agression, there are no winners or losers.

Three of Swords:  Heartbreak, saddness, sorrow.  Implied absence, possiably necessary destruction to clear grounds for what is to to come.  Disappointment and pain.

Four of Swords:  Retreat, solitude, seculsion, and meditation.  It may be necessary to withdraw in order to replenish oneself after strife.  A peroid of reflection, repose and self-examination will lead to guidance and renewed strenght.

Five of Swords:  Disgrace, degradation, defeat.  A loss which cannot be overcome, conflict has cultivated a negative cunning.  Curb your bitterness, swallow your pride, and accept the inevitable.

Six of Swords:  Motion, passage.  Leaving a bad space of change in one's direction away from danger.  New vistas will open up, solutions wil be found to old problems and obligations.  Possiably a holiday or journey.

Seven of Swords:  Opposition.  Foresight and prudence are required against powerful opposition, a dirct confrontation would be disastrous.  Planning and adjustment are necessary.  It will be a difficult victory, you win some you lose some.

Eight of Swords:  Indecsion, crisis, disillusionment.  Attempt to see the whole picture and not get lost in details.  If doubtful or confused wait patiently, this is not a time for action.

Nine of Swords:  Cruelty, violence, deception, scandal, suffering, despair, and possiable sickness.  Passive resistance may be required for a time, any attempt to repond with deception or force will escualate into a nightmarish situation.

Ten of Swords:  The end of illusion, unavoidabel failure, ruin.  Deep saddness that will last for a time.  The worst experinced, the lowest point in a cycle.  Focus on the disposal of darkness or ignorance.

Page of Swords:  Subtletly, discretion, vigilance, art of concealement and revelation, great dexderity with ideas and language.  Youthful energy underlying keen perception.

Knight of Swords:  Casual quick-wittedness, charisma, courage, strenght, activity.  Careful art of necessary change and expression without causing conflict.  A quality of aggression underlying keen perception.

Queen of Swords:  Attention to detail, sharpness, insight.  Privation, solitude, deep comprehension of the unspeakable or frightening.  Art of looking where others have not, a marriage of perception and intution.  A quality of aloofness underlying keen perception.

King of Swords:  Alertness, proficiency, inventiness, rational thinking, abstract.  The art of mastering the realm of possiabilities but not being ruled by them.  Quality of authority underlying keen perception.



The Suit of Pentacles
Ace of Pentacles:  Sense of stability, financial beginning, firm foundation.  Possiably a gift, reward, or unexpected money.  Enough resources to do whatever you like.

Two of Pentacles:  Change for good or bad.  Indicative of difficulty jugguling, possiably new troubles or worry about money or material possessions.  Remain flexible and try to see changes as new opportunities.

Three of Pentacles:  Successful progress, work, build up of prosperity through consistant effort.  In order of achieve long-term goals cooperation is necessary.  May indicate a need to share one's work.

Four of Pentacles:  Possessiveness.  Material stability may be achieved, however be careful of being attachted to wealth or possessions.  There may be greater happiness in genorosity.

Five of Pentacles:  Material trouble, failure, worry.  Indicative of hardship; you will need to learn to adapt.  Handle things day by day and do not wast time worrying about the future.

Six of Pentacles:  Philanthropy, material gain, fulfillment through your geneorsity or that of others.  A plesant, well-read award.  Balance in material affairs, maybe strong alliances, an improvised but worthwhile but demanding position.

Seven of Pentacles:  Fear, frustration.  Fear of failing or indulging in worry about the future won't bring a favourable outcome.  You may feel unable to act or stuck.  Success if possiable, maintain a strong desire to grow and achieve.

Eight of Pentacles:  New learning, apprenticeship, new emplyoment.  This is a time to break out of a rut by learning new skills.

Nine of Pentacles:  Popularity, perfect accomplishment, apprecitaion, an increase.  A deepened sense of self worth and a strong sense of independance.

Ten of Pentacles:  Protection, security, prosperity.  Indicative of a good fortune, material issuse, family and home are stable.

Page of Pentacles:  Diligence, apprenticeship, scholarship, concentration, deep desire to learn.  Art of practical application of new skills.  A quality of youthful persistance.

Knight of Pentacles:  Honour, endurance, reliablity, stability, possiably convention or tradition.  The art of defending and upholding one's beliefs.  A quality of tenacious good intentions.

Queen of Pentacles:  Compassion, sensabilty, advice, comfort, joy, sensability, and generosity.  The art of creating harmony and bounty between oneself and one's surrounding.  A quality of earthly understanding.

King of Pentacles:  Patience, loyalty, self-displine, persistance, caution, solid purpose, practicalness.  The art of pursuing personal interests without compromise and worldly power.  A quality of authorative materialism.
