Alundra - RPG This has to be one of the worst games that i have ever played. Seriously. It is a horrid attempt by WorkinDesigns to make an enjoyable game. It is amazing that the cd is still intact and not in little pieces littering my room. This game is nothing more than a cheap Zelda with a horrid story line and puzzles that make you rip out your hair. Brigandine ~The Legend of Forsena~ - Strategy/RPG This game is simply superb. It has to be one of my favorites for the PSX. In a land torn by the death of a king and threatened by an empire of pure strentgth you must choose which country to control and whip some ass. It has an incredible story and a fascinating class/monster system that will have you playing the game many times over. Chrono Cross - RPG i have recently perchased this game not too long ago and i am still on the first disc. So far it has kept me interested and the fighting/elemental system was a very good call. ~Come to me Serge...the assassin of time...THE CHRONO TRIGGER!!~ god...i love that line. **UPDATE** i have beat this game about nine times and have seen nine different endings including the Programers ending. Yes, this game truely 0wnz... Final Fantasy Tactics - Strategy Yes, Final Fantasy Tactics. i shall say it again, Final Fantasy Tactics. While this game is not as good as Brigandine battle system wise, the story surpases Brigandine by far. i don't know what else to say about it...it is awesome... Final Fantasy Anthology ~Collector's Package~ - RPG Final Fantasy V What makes this the oh-so-special ~Collector's Package? i have no idea. The only difference i see is that it has different artwork. Now on to Final Fantasy V. It was what i expected it to be. i had played the game before a la ROM and nothing much was changed. Some translations here and there and the CGI were pretty impressive. All in all it was another Final Fantasy with the basic Final Fantasy story but the job/class system was nice to fool around with. Final Fantasy VI This is the game that got me hooked on the Final Fantasy series. The port to the PSX lags though when you bring up a menu or switch screend, but it is not that unbearable. It has some ok character development, but not much. The CGI scenes are a plus, but the story is what sells the game. ~Run, Run, or you'll be well-done!!~ Final Fantasy VII i finally own a copy of FFVII. And it's not that nasty "Playstation's Greatest Hits' packaging either. It's an original. i picked it up at a pawnshop after the Metal Gear Solid i bought did not work. FFVII is in perfect condition...aren't you jealous. FFVII has a very well-written story and one of the most evil bad-asses ever to grace video games...Sephiroth. Along with all the great side-quests and hidden characters, this is the best Final Fantasy they have made yet. Final Fantasy VIII This, in my opinion, was the worst Final Fantasy every put out. Even Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest (yes, i know it is not a true Final Fantasy) was more enjoyable than this piece of garbage. I did not like the idea of ~Drawing~ magic from enemies, well it owuld have been good if it did not take an hour just to stock up on ONE magic spell. And the story, the story was the worst part. It seems like the writers were bored (as i was while playing) and said ~Gee...we're running out of ideas...what else can we throw in there? Oh, i know, let's have a misleading storyline where everybody thinks Laguna is Squalls father!!! It doesn't matter that Laguna is 27 and Squall is 17, those idiot fanboys will believe anything!!! And look!!! Everybody grew up together...and and...uh...but they all forgot...yeah...and uh...oh oh...at the very end we'll introduce an evil villan that had nothing to do with the story!!!~ And please, i will spare you, i will not even go into the crap-ass job they did on character development... Final Fantasy IX After Square bombed with FFVIII, they tried to make a comback with FFIX and it's supposed return to ~old school~ You know what was good about ~old school~ games? A little something called a ~decent story~ Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete - RPG At first i was reluctant at buying this game because WorkingDesigns did such a horrid job with Alundra i did not want to take a chance of owning, yet another, sucky game. But when someone you know is selling the box set which includes the hardback instruction booklet, cloth map, the 'Making of Lunar:SSSC cd, offical soundtrack, and the kick ass box with the nice artwork for only $30...it would just be stupid to say no. So i bought it, played it, and loved it. Especially the anime scenes ^_^ The story is pretty standard, but it's an all around enjoyable game...i wish they would hire better voice actors though. Suikoden Ah yes, Suikoden, a very good game. And what makes it good? The story!!! Of course the ~Young lad who leads a revolution against his own kingdom and ends up fighting against his own father~ has been done before, but this was actually very well-written. It kept me interested the whole way through and when Gremio was killed there was actually emotion, it wasn't like when Aerith died and i said ~wow, now that was some good CG~ Suikoden 2 While not as good as the first, this was an enjoyable game. It was too similar to the first and the character art made me want to cry. Syphon Filter 2 This game is just bloody awesome. Every once in a while i get the urge to unload some lead into the back of someone's head and this game takes care of those urges. This game is much better than the first because it has many more ~covert~ missions and it's two player battle. i feel awful destroying my opponents with head-shots, but hey, i can't help it. =P Tenchu: Stealth Assassin Tenchu is an awesome game revolving around stealth assassins. Uh, i think that's why they call it ~Stealth Assassin~ There's nothing better than throwing a bowl of rice near a dog and slashing it's throat while its back is turned. And Ayame's secret outfit...oh yeah...you know what i'm talking about...she works them fishnets... Vagrant Story I really have nothing to say about this game seeing as i only got about a few hours into it and never picked it up again. that was about a year ago. Yes, it sucks that bad. Valkyrie Profile Not a very enjoyable game. i never beat it, and i don't plan on it either. Xenogears One of my favorite games. i picked it up from a friend for $30 and it was well worth it. It's like reading a good book...and anybody who has played it knows exactly what i am talking about. |
Game Links GameFAQs- Although the Message Boards are a fascist regime, this is still one of the best sites to go to for codes, walkthrus, or any other information on a game. TheGIA- i rather enjoy going to this site every once in a while to check up on game news. 8-bit Theater- This site has no game news or anything, but it's a kick ass web comic based around Final Fantasy...the original that is. GameFAQs AIM List- This is the GameFAQs AOL Instant Messanger list maintained by Bears092. GameFAQs Album- This site was updated by Raechel Chan, but i am not sure if it is still being updated, i'll have to check on it later. GameFAQs Users Site- This site contains the GameFAQs Bitrchday list, and many links to GameFAQs member's sites. This is basically what i wanted to do with my site, but since i left the fascist regime, i have moved oin to bigger and better things. |
