Mercedes Benz Unimog (Left). This guy was sitting there ready to pull out the guys with underprepared rigs. What a monster. These things are BAD!!! The truck in the background is my friend Pat's. Early 70's Land Cruiser (72 I think) with extensive modifications.
Andy's Four Runner. Lot's of work into this one too. Mainly the live axle front end conversion. He has this set up pretty well. Great articulation. This is barely a sample.
Ok, "drunk and stupid is no way to go through life", but it sure works well for parts of it. I'm pretty sure that's beer on the lens. That's me on the left, Rich, Ben, Andy, and Victor. It was a great weekend.
This is Pat's Land Cruiser. Nice rig. He used to be a full time fabricator so he can weld really well. Super stout ride. Don't let the picture fool you, the road is pretty steep. This is the easy stuff, too. Victor didn't show up until the end of the trip, so we don't have pictures of the really good stuff.
This is camp. The slabs of Rubicon springs. The coolest thing about this place is that you are never cold at night, at least at this time of year. The granite soaks up the heat all day and then radiates it at night.
