The layout is a freelanced layout, which means it can be your own design. It is located at the foot of the western slopes of Colorado. The first town is called Eldorado Springs. A small town, but useful. Which is located about a good 4-6 hours from the border of New Mexico. The next town is called Silverhill. A small town with a industrial spur. The last two are in northern New Mexico. The first one is called Adamsville. I got that name from my last name. The last one is Cripple Creek. It has a big industry line, and a big yard with an engine service and an enginehouse. The lines that the CONM share with are the D&RGW lines, BNSF lines, Union Pacific lines, ATSF lines, and the Southern Pacific lines. The line also has it's very own locomotives too. This layout will use the EasyDCC system on it. I chose it, because then I wouldn't have to deal with all of the DC wiring and etc.
This layout has expanded from a 4x8, to an 11x22. Plus, it all fits in the basement too.
