Strange Numbers The reoccurring themes of this dream are dramatic. There is no story line to this dream
because the messages and images continuously forced their way into all other
dreams. At any time when the subject
matter was switched, the messages would again interrupt me to gain my
attention. On a normal night, with no particular military event I was aware
of, I was plagued by soldiers who would continuously repeat a strange set of
numbers (and a letter). Sometimes
there were many soldiers (I was aware of their presence, but never saw more
than two at a time) other times there was only one. When I would acknowledge the soldiers and
their message, they would cease their nagging and my dreams would switch back
to the normal, uninteresting dramas that I’m most accustomed to. The soldiers seemed to be Caucasian, didn’t seem to be in combat
uniform (camouflage fatigues and plain green t-shirts, no helmet) and had no
discernable accent. Sometimes they
carried firearms, but most of the time they did not. The soldiers were persistent.
Again and again the soldiers would re-enter my dreams and repeat the
numbers. 01.03.03.06 S. They would
instruct me to repeat it back, so I did.
Without being told to do so, I once wrote the number down so I wouldn’t
forget. I asked what the numbers
meant, and I was told that I already know.
I was unsure about what the S stood for, so when I asked if the S
stood for Ship I was given an answer, but upon waking I could not recall what
the answer was. Again and again my dreams would be interrupted. On some occasions, the 01 and the S were
absent. I got the impression they weren’t
crucial, but important nonetheless. When
I finally got frustrated and decided to wake up, I found myself dreaming of
being awake in my room. I thought I
was awake, and as I was preparing to get up to get a cold drink, a helicopter
flew by my bedroom window. It circled
around my house and shone a spotlight into my window. “01.03.03.06 S, Don’t forget!” I again assured them (very frustrated now)
that I wouldn’t forget. I repeated the
number back, “01.03.03.06 S, I won’t forget.” When I was eventually permitted to wake up I felt
distressed. I felt no emotion attached
to the event, only the anxiety that I “must not forget.” My impressions were that the numbers were
likely a time or a place. I felt that
this event would gain worldwide attention, but that I would not know anybody
immediately affected by it. To my knowledge, this event has not yet come to pass. Upon further investigation, I found that these numbers and other
symbols appearing in this dream may mean more elaborate than first perceived. One is an organizing
number, denoting strength and fundamental wholeness. Three is combative and masculine, something
new happening (from something already existing). Six rarely appears in dreams. It represents the highest of possibilities,
shield for the need for harmony and symmetry, and a warning of ill or harm. S is indicative of weapons, tools,
techniques and support. Soldiers foretell
that there are fierce confrontations ahead.1 My current theory is that this dream warns of a military event
that will be ugly and violent, but will eventually lead to hope or
peace. It surrounds an event that is
already taking place, and will provide us with a resolution. This event may or may not occur on 1 Paraphrased from the Dreamers
