| Wow. Where to begin with Ana? There's no way to cram every sentiment of our relationship into a single statement. She is so many different things to me: Sister, best friend, worst enemy, boss, companion, and rival. We grew up together, but we lived in different worlds. What brought us together was probably the fact that in the end, all we had was each other. Parents faded into the woodwork, siblings were irratic, even timelines seemed to melt. Through it all, Ana and I always had each other. It's strange how that worked out. Strange but wonderful. Ana is the only person, in the end, I can really trust to protect my heart. |

| "I could go on for a year and still never adequately express my feelings for Tranns Harkin. She's my confidant, my best friend, and my sometimes-sister. I argue with her more than anyone else I know and I probably love her more than anyone else I know. My mother and her father were friends so I grew up playing with Tranns. And by playing, I mean we drove each other crazy. I couldn't wait to get away from her. Now I can't imagine my life without her. She's short-tempered and feisty. She can handle herself in the messiest of situations. Basically, we're complete opposites, but maybe that's why we're so close. She knows me better than anyone else, and I trust her with my life." |
