	If : แม้

	If my body is troubled, my mind must not
	be troubled.

	แม้ว่ากายของเรากระสับกระส่ายอยู่ก็ตาม
	จิตของเราจักไม่กระสับกระส่าย

	If they are rich they are not snobblish or
	the kind of people who looks down upon
	the wretched people.

	แม้ เขาจะรวย เขาก้ไม่ใช่คนบ้ายศศักดิ์ หรือคน
	ชนิดที่ดูถูกคนจน

	If my blood should run dry in my veins
	and my flesh waste away, leaving only 
	skeleton, I will not rise from this seat till
	success is mine.

	แม้ เลือดและเนื้อของเราเหือดแห้งไป
	คงเหลืออยู่แต่กระดูกก็ตาม เราจะไม่
	ลุกจากที่นี้เป็นอันขาด จนกว่าจะได้
	ประสบความสำเร็จ

	(คำอธิษฐานของพระพุทธองค์ในคืนวันที่จะ
	ได้ตรัสรู้เป็นพระพุทธเจ้า)

	A Noble Disciple, fromt ehstage of the
	Stream-enterer(Sotapanna) onwards,
	never voilates the Five Precepts k(even)
	if such an abstention may cost him
	his life.

	อริยสาวก ตั้งแต่พระโสดาบันขึ้นไป จะไม่
	ละเมิดศีล ๕ เลย แม้ว่าการรักษาศีล(วิรัติ)

	ของท่านนั้นจะทำให้ท่านต้องเสียชีวิตก็ตาม
