about. At the moment, transmissiondisorder, or transdis if you're lazy, is a very messy fanzine type thing that's going through some kind of difficult teenage patch before it finally decides what it wants to be and emerges glimmering like a butterfly into the world. Or just remains an awkward spotty teenager that does things when it feels like it. It's now an issue based webzine, with a spin-off paper based 'zine named Redgoesfaster, which will be onsale soon. Here you will find odd reviews of albums and gigs, of films, and feature type things that usually are shit. what transmissiondisorder likes: youth and anger and passion and intelligence and music and stuff that'll kick your head in from the outside and kick it in from the inside. And we also cover some bands just to get people to read the damn site. It's called selling out, but hey we need to look significant so we can get some decent interviews, of which we've had some sucess with already. Heh. what transmissiondisorder hates: Pretty much everything. Irony. Radiohead. Steve Lamacq. Students. some facts: * transmissiondisorder was born on March 11th 2002. * The name comes from two Joy Divison songs, that can be found together on the track listing of 'Still'. * The original co-founders and co-editors were Rachel and Jo, Jo has since left leaving Rachel to continue the work. * It was originally a paper-based fanzine, but only one issue was put out before going web-based (in August). * Our first interview was with Ikara colt, on 24.04.2002. staff-types: Co-founders: Jo Lowe and Rachel Taylor Editor/ writer of words: Rachel Taylor Dutch correspondant and Live Reviews Mistress: Hanna Nierstrasz Guest contributors: Jo Lowe, Jonathan Carey, Chris Wise, Nicky C, Jamie Azzopardi, Ally, Phil South, Jeres, Matthew Ashworth. |
