SCHNUR, Mary, 19 yrs, 1 mo, 7 days. Wife of Rev. Geo. H. Schnur and daughter of Rev. Prof. L. P. Esbjorn. Married not quite one year, and left an infant 7 days old. Rev. Schnur is Pastor of the Lutheran Church in Vandalia, Fayette County, IL, and she is buried on the banks of the Kaskaskia River, where the rolling waters continually sing her requiem. She was a good woman. (Harkey attended this funeral)

14 October 1864

HEISCHMAN, Barbara, wife of Charles Heischman. Died 13 Oct, age nearly 32 years. Buried Oak Ridge cemetery.
