| Right, so you made it to the picture place... I feel all excited! last night, after a battle won the night before that, I finally managed to scan in some of my older work. If you go here then you can view what was the culmination (well, a selection) of one semester of blood sweat and tears! i had enrolled in Photo204 which was a self-paced course. Self-paced, for those of your who are grasping at straws, means that you set the tone, the pace, the cadance, the rhythm, the scheduling etc... You only had to do one project, hand in 12-15 "mounted" 8 x 10's of a subject that you had discussed with the teacher at the beginning of the semester. I had chosen "Beauty is in the eye" as my subject matter, but I had no idea what to shoot. Roughly 2 weeks before the end of the semester I realized that time was running out and that I really needed to get off my ass. I ended up shooting friends in the courtyard over the course of two days, and two days after that I was able to hand in my total assignment. I will not bore you with the grade I got, but it was enough to put a smile on my face. So go here and see what the buzz is all about! If time permits--if I get off my lazy ass and digitally scan more of my "oeuvre"--I will post more pictures here. Eureka, I have purchased a brand-spanking-hot-off-the-assembly-line-new scanner which also will let me scan in negatives. Let the good times roll!! |
