All of this work is from my S.T.M. program at the School of Theology at The University of the South (Sewanee). The S.T.M. is the degree between a Master of Divinity (pastor’s degree) and the Ph.D. (professor’s degree). The S.T.M. includes a Thesis.
The Rhetoric of Jesus and the Rhetoric of Preaching, William Brosend (Summer 2007) – One question in world of New Testament studies is this: Who was the "historical Jesus"? Many New Testament scholars believe that the Bible is not a reliable picture of Jesus, but that an accurate picture of Jesus can be found by sifting/editing the New Testament and taking historical studies and speculation into account. This is a paper on my view of the historical Jesus.
