5/15/07- Only a couple days until the season starts! We have 8 teams with 13 players each, which I think is really cool. Treachery is facing off against Like 40 Ninjas in week 1, a new division rival. And I guess it's rather fitting that Jay Misel's team is our new division rival since he was on Treachery last year. I think that Treachery this season has a really good chance of making the playoffs. Even though it'll be the top 2 teams from each division making the playoffs and the divisions have 4 teams a piece compared to three the past couple years. Can't wait to play!

2/8/07- I have finally got back to the page and updated a couple things. The schedule for this season is now posted on the Schedule page! On a sour note though, Mike Guiles is not able to play in the league this year, after he said that he would be a captain. So the search will continue until we find that lucky number 8. Going into this season, one of my minor goals was to pass Mike Guiles in overall stats in CU history, now that seems like it is pretty much going to happen. Which would make me second all time, behind my everlasting rival Nate Smith hahaha. I'm currently working on a Treachery symbol for the front of our jerseys this year, and hopefully for many years to come.

12/8/06- well well well, so we meet again for the first time and the last time. haha CFL is in the off season, and to tell you the truth I'm glad. My mind was burnt out on frisbee thought. But now I'm back and ready to rock. CFL is currently undergoing some changes and I would like to let everyone who reads this page (aka 2 or 3 people) that we have to change the name of the CFL. The word Frisbee is pattened. So instead of paying to use it, we are just going to change the name of the league. Me personally, I like the name Columbia Ultimate. It is short and sweet. CU, it sounds like a upstanding organization. Also on the front of changes, Matt Riggleman is officially stepping down as a captain after two successful years for Ridicule. So our Captain list right now is Brian Horn, Nate Smith, Joe Droege, James Burke, Tim Smith, Jay Misel, and myself.

8/20/06- The 2006 season officially ended last weekend when the west all-stars beat the east all-stars by one. The '06 season in my eyes was a huge success, even though Treachery failed to make the playoffs for the second straight year. Next year, the anticipated numbers are already over 100 players, so we are adding two teams for a total of 8 in the league.

7/10/06- after the first 5 weeks of the season Treachery was 2-3... it is now heading into week 9 and we are 3-4-1. With two games to go Treachery will face Detroit Muscle and Frisbee Friends, which seems favorable, and a very good chance to finish the season with a winning record.

6/29/06- It has been awhile since I updated this piece. Currently Treachery is 2-4 after 6 games, and if we don't win out and either Size Matters or Wingspan wins one more game, Treachery will miss the playoffs for the second straight year. Just because we will probably miss the playoffs, that doesn't mean that our team wasn't good this year. We had the potential to win, but we just lost too many close games. Hopefully our guys this year gained some experience so if I have the chance to grab some of them in the draft next year, we can be better in crunch time. That's all for now, Treachery is taking on the undefeated Size Matters this weekend, I believe that we can beat these guys!!!

5/4/06- Well, on Monday May 1st, I went to Taylor school to scope out some of the new guys that signed up for the league. Man, I was glad that a bunch of them were good players, but a little disappointed that all the good players up there were somehow flitered into the east division. So Treachery will have ALOT of competition to play against in order to get to the playoffs. It seems like no matter how good I think I have it in the CFL, something always happens so I have to be up and above the call of duty. With this season and last season, I feel like i have to play SUPER GREAT, just to make up for the lack of skills on the rest of my team. Which i don't mind so much, I mind it when people get on my case about caring so much about winning. I have to care that much in order for my team to even have a chance against the other teams, since they are more well rounded. This year will be better than last simply because i won't be by myself, I have the TRIO. But the TRIO is going to have to play lights out in order to compensate for the lack of subs, that other teams won't have to deal with.

4/30/06- OK, i know everyone knows this already, but i just wanted everyone to hear it form me, i think about frisbee A LOT.  The more i think about it, the more i can not wait for the season to start.  I believe this year is going to hinge more on people's knowledge of the game, and more gametime adjustments. Instead of just having the best players and making them your whole team (Det- Nate to Skip). That is why i have predicted that Detroit and Size Matters will fall from first in their respective divisions, to last in their divisions this year. I believe that Nate and Joe think that they can just get by with the stuff that they did last year. I truely believe because of that, that each of those teams will struggle compared to last season. Playoff predictions Treachery and Wingspan out of the east, Ridicule and Frisbee Friends out of the west.

4/28/06- This is basically what i have been thinking, "Treachery is going to take the league by storm this year!". Misel= dynamic, Poole= resilence, Horn= The LEGEND. if any teams in the league can deal with that, they truely deserve the win. I have a feeling that my top five moments might have to be expanded into top 10 moments throughout the season, because we are going to be that good.

4/23/06- In a previous post on 4/4 i talked about my draft being thwarted. I now look back and have to thank Brian for what he did. Because my team is crazy better then i could have ever anticipated. The trio is in place and Treachery is going to run wild on Wingspan week one. It is less then a month away.

4/15/06- Well, we played some frisbee games this weekend, and i had Misal and Poole on my team for the first time. I must say i was very impressed. I think getting these guys on my team is going to work out better then i orignally planned. Prediction for 2006: Treachery will win the division winning at least 8 games during the regular season.

4/9/06- Only one day has past since the CFL draft and already i'm being asked my opinions on who the favorites are by some of the other captains. I must say i have thought about it myself a little. Out of the West Division i believe the defending Champ Detroit Muscle will make the playoffs but not make it to the championship again. Ridicule in my mind has to be the Favorite out of the west. I don't believe the Frisbee Friends are going to make any kind of charge towards the playoffs.
Out of the East Division which contains, Treachery, Size Matters, and Wingspan. These three teams are going to have to battle to make the playoffs cause any of the three have the potential to go the Championship. That is all for now. I am slowly getting the rosters up on the CFL main roster page. Most of the roster are up for the most part, with only a couple people still to be added.

4/8/06- Well we held the CFL draft for 2006 today, and there was some craziness that went down. First off i have to comment about the blockbuster trade that went down for Treachery to acquire Matt Poole from Detroit Muscle. Treachery selescted Dave Smith and Tom Fleckenstein with the overall 4th and 5th picks in the draft and sent them to Detroit for Matt Poole and the overall 47th pick.  So we got our two target guys in Jason Misal and Matt Poole. The blockbuster trade wasn't the only trade however. I traded my 5th round pick Jared Keefer to Size Matters for Rob Rapp, which it is still to be seen who got the better of that. Treachery definitely got some experience in the draft. Phil Rhodes and David Weaver are two players from LVC, also former Wingspan member Jon Herr who also attends LVC. Tricia Busby, Rob Rapp, and Jason Manz are the only true "rookies" that Treachery drafted. Last but not least, Treachery re-drafted a very dedicated player from the '05 season in Chris "pitter-patter" Patterson. I think Wingspan and Size Matter better watch out. I have one question for all of the CFL teams this year. WHAT YOU GONNA DO? WHEN TREACHERY RUNS WILD ON YOU!!!

4/4/06- My entire draft plan has been thwarted, by Wingspan. Brian has decided not to drop Taz, the person that i wanted to start building a defense around. Now, i'm thinking about just going to offense, offense, offense.. still not sure yet and i don't have much time to thinking about it either.

4/2/06- Man we had some crazy games of frisbee yesterday. I'm still a little out of shape when it comes to running to almost 3 hours, but lucky for me CFL games only run 40 mins. So i can be dominate for 40 mins instead of conserving energy and playing well for a long time.  Taz Keyser had a bunch of defensive plays yesterday, aka the main reason i want him on my team. If i were able to get him and Jason Misal, Treachery would have three above average defenders. I believe that gives Treachery a big advantage. Both Misal and Taz can run forever and never get tired, cause Misal plays soccer that helps in that area, but Taz, i don't know what he does other than play. When i think of Taz sometimes i think of Forrest Gump, "When i had to go somewhere, i didn't walk, I was running!" hahahah later

3/31/06- I had to add "subject to change" on the draft order because something unexpected has happened. It looks like Frisbee Friends might not have one of the players they intended to keep, which means they will only be keeping one player like i'm doing. AKA screwing up my board, i'm thinking he might have his eye on Jeff Moore or Jim Orgrass. Lets just hope that i get who i want, and i don't have to punch any of the captains in the face. hahahahah

3/30/06- Well as of right now we only have 50 people signed up for the '06 season. Last year we had 60 in the draft, but that was including about 10-12 people that never showed up for any of the games. So i feel pretty good about only asking back the players that were dedicated and taking new players. So hopefully we don't run into the problem where alot of the players aren't showing, cause that would suck.

3/25/06- Well after dishing out crazy amounts of flyers for the league, we had a couple people sign up already. Some good, some not so good, but hey we'll take who we can get. I do have some bad bad news though. Nathan Fischer who was listed high on Treachery's draft board has backed out from playing in the league this summer. I also know he was listed high on the Frisbee Friends draft board. Each captain can only keep three guys max from last years teams so i'll have a shot at a few guys that i want. Since Treachery has 3 of the first 5 picks in the entire draft. (i'm only keeping one from last year)

3/22/06- Well, now i have the "new-new" Treachery logo on the website. I believe its a little more my style. The CFL better watch out! Especially Detroit Muscle.

3/19/06- To the left you will see the 'New' emblem for the Treachery jerseys this year.

3/11/06- I believe i have narrowed who i want in the draft out of the returning player in April. With my first two picks at least.  I think that with these two guys that Treachery will have a solid base. It would just be a matter of getting some role players to fill out the roster. Treachery is back baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3/8/06- I believe Treacherous water is flowing through the Susquahanna Valley again, realizing that frisbee is almost upon us. What you gonna do when Treachery runs wild on you?!!!!!!

3/5/06-After talking frisbee with two of the other captains last night. (Riggs and Brian) I was compelled to look at the list of most likely to be free agents. I started brainstorming some different ideas and different combos of players. One thing is for sure, the draft is going to quite interesting.

3/3/06- Well, its been awhile since i reported to the log. I have been busy with starting my Treachery Xanga site hahaha www.xanga.com/hornm . I was looking at the schedule for the league this year... and it doesn't start till May 21st and that got me alittle upset, knowing that we still had over two months to go till game day. But on that same note it is only a little over one month till the draft on april 8th.

2/23/06- Originally, back in 2004 when i chose Black to be the team color, it was because i wanted to intimidate the other teams in the league. I wanted them to know that they better fear me and my team. But towards the end of that season, most of the players complained about having to wear black t-shirts in the summer. So for '05 i turned to the grey with black lettering, so the players wouldn't complain, and we could still try and maintain the "fear factor". But god, we sucked and more people laughed at us then feared us. Which brings me to my point, should i bring back the black jersey's or should i try and different combo with the grey/black/maybe some white? Its still up in the air.

2/22/06- I have been thinking about the up coming season alot. Thinking about who will be on the market for Treachery to Target... and i have believe that Treachery might be in for another hardship. As much as i like to win, i'm currently just hoping to have at least a .500 record.

2/17/06- well i haven't heard any feedback on my last post, so i'm going to assume that its a good marketing idea. I kinda test ran the idea by signing up for hot or not... currently after 102 votes, i'm a 4.0... so i was thinking that maybe we should find one of the other captains that might be more "desirable".  I just hope that we have alot of people for the 06 season.

2/14/06- I have this Marketing class at HACC, and we were talking about "Sex Sells". So i had this great idea to pose with only a frisbee covering my private areas to attract players for the '06 season. Let me know if you think that is a good idea or not. We would post the pics on the main CFL website.

2/7/06- I believe that the CFL is going to start recruiting heads for the '06 season. Newspaper adds, the works haha.

1/31/06- I haven't had a chance to talk to any of the captains lately so i don't have too much info. The only info i have is that we are going to start advertising for the '06 season during the month of Feb. I really haven't been thinking too much frisbee lately. Since my relationship status has been on the rocks. Christina is all anybody could want, shes is all i wanted, but it appears that she no longer wanted my company.

1/25/06- I'm sitting here in the library at Hacc waiting till my class starts. This one lady just walked by and she had a huge bald spot on the back of her head. Now i now this has nothing to do with frisbee. But i had to make a note of it before i forgot, hahahaha too bad for her. Sitting here looking around the library though i see a couple people that i think would be good players. Maybe i can make a pitch and get them for the league. Later

1/20/06- This past Tuesday i had a chance to interview one of the prospects for the 06 season. He had an overall good interview, and i liked what he had to say. Still have a couple more interviews in line. I'll let you know how they go.

1/13/06- CFL Draft is April 8th and that is only a little under 3 months away, all i have been doing is prepin' for it hahahaha . '06 Treachery is going to bring it and nobody is going to be able to stop it. Right now i'm predicting a 9-1 reocord, giving someone the benefit of the doubt that we won't show up for one game.

1/11/06- There is some craziness brewing in the CFL nowadays behind the scenes. Just making my anticipation for the season to start even greater. AKA Treachery's return to greatness.

1/7/06- The captains meeting was held today and it was pretty wild. Realizing that the six captains are on six different pages. We're going to have to have another meeting soon.

1/5/06- Well hopefully the captains meeting will take place this weekend, and some of the subjects that are up in the air will be solved. I'm just hoping that people show up on time cause i have to work later at 2 on saturday.

12/21/05- Over the weekend, i found a new prospect for the '06 season. The only problem is that i have to get her on the field and play some games before the season starts so all the captains can see her play, so shes not thrown into the random draft picks.

12/16/05- Man i miscalculated the list of stats the otherday, and forgot to put Nick McCarty on the top ten overall points list. He is on there now at the 6 spot. Bumping Bray down to the ten spot. Still thats not to shabby.

12/14/05- i was thinking maybe i should trade my number one pick in the draft for a descent player. I'm still up in the air, plus the only guy on the trade block right now is a guy i'm not interested in. Maybe when the season gets a little closer i can bribe somebody for an impact player.

12/13/05- i tallied up a bunch of stats over the past week while i was updating the CFL website. Uncovering same great Treachery news. There are two Treachery members in the ALL-TIME career points top ten. Brandon and myself are 9th and 4th respectively. Check out the Treachery stat page for more of those details.

12/11/05- man i wish i could stop thinking about frisbee sometimes, but i can't.

12/10/05- i believe i got the page to where i want it for now... i'm out of cheesy ideas.  Soon we're going to have a captains meeting during christmas break and start working on 2006 details. AKA getting stuff set up as close as UPA regulations as possible. After the meeting i plan on talking with some of my top prospects for the up coming season, and see if they will be compatible with the Treachery game plan for 2006.
